Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft’s $329 Xbox One Bundle is Dominating Black Friday

What I see is PS4 GTA5 + TLOUR in #1 in every single place.

Xbone deal was avaiable way before PS4 deal and it is already ahead by a good margin.

It is crazy.

It is fun because I do think after that PS4 will win BF and this thread was posted after PS4 got #1.

It's possible.

Somewhat anecdotal but important imho :

The X1 AC bundle hasn't popped into the top 100 2014 list on Amazon.

That tells me that it didn't really sell gangbusters before BF. Which kind of makes sense, considering how holiday sales are concentrated from BF through Dec 24th. Most likely a certain number of folks moved their X1 purchases up, moving sales from BF+ to mid November instead. Whereas PS4 probably stalled a bit in mid-November due to people wanting to wait for the much better bundle deals (2x $60 games for the same $399 as the no-game PS4 SKU!)

Secondly, X1's troubles throughout the year probably caused various headaches with production idling, storage, channel flow, etc. Smaller retailers would have been more hesitant to order many X1s, there would be a decent supply of vanilla SKUs stuffing the works, etc. So I am of the opinion that even if X1 demand skyrockets, it won't be able to hugely help MS this season to the same degree that it could have if demand had been steadier throughout the year. The more desirable SKUs could be in low supply, and sell out, leaving undesirable units still in warehouses and on shelves. While Sony seems to have GOD-TIER supplies of the new PS4 bundles out there.

The #1 rankings are impressive now for sure on the PS4 GTA bundle. We'll have to see how it shakes the next few days. If it holds #1, then Sony should easily have this in the bag. If the AC X1 bundle was in the top 100 2014 list, I'd be less confident in that belief.

Update: we have sold about 50 - 60 Xbox one bundles . And 50 - 55 ps4 bundles . Surprisingly very close . Most families bought the Xbone, whilst young adults went with the ps4

That's what I like to here. I'm currently in the young adult master race category so good to know i'll be gaming with my fellow minions.

On a serious note, my theory was that it didn't matter who sells fastest, it matters who stocks the most. Can I ask you, as you're in a position of knowledge, who do you think will ship more and do you think both shipments will sell out?

EDIT: Anyone notice Sony have 4 controllers in the top 30 while MS has only 1. What's up with that?

Hard to say. We have about the same ammount of xboxes and ps4s in stock and i do believe they will all sell out by the end of the week.

I trust no one, not even myself.

what retailer are you with and would they tend to be pro xbox or pro sony compared to the national average?

Best Buy in upscale Chicago Downtown area. Usually it tends to be more pro Xbox 3:2 ratio. But recently it has been pretty close.

$499 at launch mandatory, $329 now. I feel sorry for those that bought it at launch.

Imagine if the PS4 was $265 (66% just like Xbone) right now. Insanity.

Anyways MS might have stock problems as PS4 is back at #1 on amazon.

PS4 domination.  Kidding aside, it will be a crazy BF for both PS4 and XOne, this for sure.

Where is Nintendo ?

Whoever wins the day between the 2 is one thing but I have to say that ratio is excellent for this industry overall. Kudos and good luck to both.

one thing that makes me happy is that TLOU PS4 will sell a lot this holiday.

Will Vgchartz track this numbers for TLOU?

TLOU is a digital code right? Wasn't it said somewehere that NPD only counts the physical game in the bundle?

But VGchartz will try and track it either way, becasue isn't Black Flag a digital code in the Xbox bundle and it's been tracking that?

NPD don't track any bundled game even if physical disc. Vide destiny selling more on X1 but if bundle counted ps4 version would be ahead.

Kinect Bundle is 429. So only a drop of 70 but you already knew that. I bought a launch and I don't care. So your above post is inaccurate, If you bought a PS4 and they took out 100 worth of value.  However you constantly make this same comparison, ignoring the fact they took out product and made a whole new bunduru.
