I only have Mordor, which I got today and have only played it for around 20 minutes. Its really fun though.
Having poured many hours into both I'd say go for Dragon Age. Much bigger world, much more content, more fun combat!
I'd go with Dragon Age. However, if you wait until tomorrow you can probably pick up both for almost the same price as 1 (Black Friday deals)

mordor takes 40 hours to get 100%. Dragon age takes 90 hours to finish the single player campaign excluding side quests. i would say both as they are fantastic games. However if you want a game with alot of value , then i would suggest dragon age. Combat in mordor is like the batman games with assassin creed type execution kills.the nemsis sytem really does work and you have to be careful to not die , as you will make the enemy who kills you stronger and he will get a rank promotion. Dragon age combat has two options. you can do the top down iew where you can plan the attcks you want and in that time everything stops or you can do in third person view , where you have full control of the character to attack. in that mode you can have up to 8 different attacks.

Dragon Age story takes about 37 hours actually.
Shadow of Mordor takes 29 hours to get 100%

Shadow of Mordor is more "fun" and the combat, while simple and easy, is more satisfying and engaging.
Dragon age has deeper experience with a lot of content. It takes some time to get into it, but once you do, you will enjoy it.
I vote for Dragon Age. Both games have their own share of flaws though.
About 5mins left on the deadline, and Dragon Age: Inquisition is in the lead. I think its safe to say we have a winner.

I will keep the poll up for future reference.
DA will be a deeper experience with better character development better story and more customisation. SoM has better graphics, superior and more fluid character movements, better open world mechanics, especially on using vertically in the world,and well put together combat mechanics. Though the world itself in SoM is relatively small.
In the end I think I will enjoy DA more, but SoM is a fun ride.
