Cause their #1 priority is profit more so than hardware sales! Hardware sales is still important but if they can make the most amount of money this way while keeping the fans happy, they will!

m$ is desperate to sale xbones, even if they lose alot of mney, nintendo nows they can make profit on a lot smaller installbase. restoring the brand and not losing to much money is the plan of nintendo. a price cut wouldnt help there.

If you are going by Black Friday deals, then why not use Wii U BF deals as well? Unless the Xbox One is that cheap otherwise?

Cos Microsoft can afford to hemorrhage money from every orifice, but Nintendo can't.
MS are pushing for userbase expansion, Nintendo are pushing for profit.

Do people really care that much for a little price differences? Would you really opt to buy a different console to what you originally intended, with not only an almost completely different line up of available games, but a overwhelming preference for completely alternate genres of games, just because of what is ultimately a very small price difference?

I can understand price being a factor for some between xbox and PS4, because they largely share many of the same games, but you buy Wii U's for the Nintendo exclusives. It's like apples and oranges.

I'm sure they completely expected a 399$ xb1 or 349$ xb1 at best.
Meanwhile target is offering 329$ mcc and unity bundle with a 50$ gift card on top of it.
I don't even think past gen consoles can match that.

They care less about sales and more about money. Well that was worded wrong. They care more about making fans happy and making money than they do competitive numbers. While XBOX is slashing just to best the PS4, Wii U is casually strolling against both because Nintendo just wishes to make some cash.
