Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Yahoo: Pokemon is killing Nintendo because its selling too well

I've never seen someone so in favour of microtransactions that they would use "begs for" in the same sentence. I just don't get it.

Either way, I haven't bought a pokemon game since HeartGold and Soul Silver, and I don't plan on buying another one any time soon. I mean, this series has really gone down hill.

False statement is false.

Nintendo doesn't own Pokemon in its entirety.

Yes, let's dilute the value of the only thing of worth that Nintendo has, intellectual property. And when the tablet masses get bored with Nintendo's games and shift instead to the next Flappy Bird, or mobile gaming generally falls in a heap, with no console what does Nintendo do then?

This guy should just buy a 3ds and enjoy himself rather than insisting that a mobile and tablet is all he needs. They really aren't that expensive.

He's obviously hurting because he starting to realise his missing out on what he probably enjoyed in the past, before going 100% ios.

Guys, this is clearly a parody. I'm shocked to see so many of you taking it seriously.

I've seen some terrible articles on Yahoo, but dang!

Well, setting aside the awful logic that selling 1.5 million copies of a game at forty bucks a pop is somehow bad business, let talk about how Gamefreak would never allow Pokemon games to be released on anything other than nintendo handhelds. Oh, you didn't know? Nintendo doesn't have total control over that particular IP.
