Call me optimistic but I'm still thinking this Gen of Pokémon games will still outsell the previous one, and even come within a decent distance of Gen 3. X/Y is out for only a year, it still has a good 2-3 years ahead of it before it completely stops selling. I think 10m won't be much of a problem for ORAS either.

It is odd how quickly Japan dropped X/Y, especially considering their fondness for the 3DS. You would think, all things considered, X/Y would outsell R/S there, but it doesn't seem to be the case.
Anyhow, I know OR/AS hitting 11 million is a longshot, it's just that I was pointing out the downward trend for this gen. 10 million wouldn't be bad, though.

I think 8-9mil is good for a prediction, already 3mil without Europe!!! |

Would love to see X/Y outsell Ruby/Sapphire, but I'm guessing they will stop right around where Black/White are now.
I dont think X and Y will continue selling too well compared to last gens for a few reasons:
1) No update for X and Y for ORAS moves or megas, AND all X/Y Megastones available in ORAS makes X and Y 100% obselete.
2) A lot of people seemed to really not like it.

In some strange reality maybe, but in real world, XY is a very liked game.
It will reach 15 millions without any problem.
