Forums - Gaming Discussion - I think the Sonic game in 2015 is going to be very good! Here is why

Alright, we all should know by now that Sonic Boom was rushed, abandoned by it's devs during development, and turned out to be a worse game than Sonic '06. However, it was made by Big Red Button, a company made of Ex-Naughty Dog employees (I can see why they are EX-Naughty Dog employees now) and not by Sonic Team. In the past few years Sonic has been a yearly franchise, 2010-Colors and Sonic 4, 2011-Sonic Generations, 2012-Sonic 4 Ep 2, 2013-Lost World, 2014-Nothing, this means that Sonic Team had an extra year to make this game, and this is why I have high expectations for the Sonic game in 2015. What are your thoughts? Will we get another amazing game like Generations and Colors? Will we get a game that has mixed opinions like Lost World? Or will we get another game like Sonic Boom that has an average review score of 3/10?

No way we're going to get another crappy Sonic Boom game.
I'm not expecting anything really good like Generations, but I'm also not expecting the game to be as bad as Sonic Boom.

It will be better then boom but really, comparing anything to boom is like comparing to something that is absolute shit. Lets not forget that Sonic Lost World also came out and that has a 63 on meta and it was developed by Sonic Team so... I am expecting another terrible edition in the Sonic Franchise for their next one unless its their kart racing game

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

and the cycle begins again..

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

I actually think it will be a decent game. :p

70%+ on metacritic, not over 80% though.

Mix Sonic Boom and Sonic Generations to emphasize the new Sonic with the scarf signifies a new generation of Sonic...but wait that makes too much sense.

That doesn't make that much sense. The Sonic with the scarf is not even what Sonic Team is working with. The thing is, the scarfed Sonic is not part of a new generation of Sonic. It's part of Sonic Boom which is a spinoff. The Modern Sonic from Sonic Generations is still the current Sonic.

The only thing that I know is that the next game should be 2D than 3D.

Sonic team had a lot to do with the appearance of the new Sonic Boom characters, I don't see why they wouldn't be working with them?  This should be what Sega is pushing since they have a TV show about it going on.  Your right Sonic Boom is intended as a spin off, I forgot they said that, even so my idea still works, just emphasize modern Sonic as the main Sonic in the game, just like he was in the first Sonic Generations.

If they say it won't happen, it won't happen. Sonic Boom is way too far off from Modern Sonic.

And by the way, you're right that Sonic Team helped a little to develop Sonic Boom, but that doesn't say much.
