I think I have sigs disabled lol they're obnoxious 100% of the time. It seems like it's pretty much a wash but yea I would call it a draw I think. Anyways it's weird that the crazed Nintendo fan boy would bet that it would run worse.

Alright, then let me fill you in ...
Curl and I made a bet on how Watch Dogs WII U would turn out a long while ago. I had staked that Watch Dogs WII U would compare favourably against the older HD twins and curl took the opposing route and let's just say according to digital foundry, it wasn't the outcome I had desired ...
That's the jist of it ...

I dunno why you would take up that bet. Anyways I got them enabled but it wasn't easy since this site is hell on mobile.

At the time it seemed sound given the amount of assumptions that were going on ...
More memory would allow for a more seemless experience in which it could potentially reduce the amount of obvious pop-ins going on. The CPU was a big mystery at the time for the WII U but as more games started coming the weaknesses became more evident as time went on so that translated as to why Watch Dogs didn't fare so well here. The even bigger mystery was the GPU because the amount of texture units and bandwidth sort of dictated the texture quality and the texture filtering quality despite the likeliness that it support more modern texture compression algorithms like BC5 ...

The PC version of Watch Dogs was pretty horrible I heard; lots of bugs and poor optimization.
Apparently Unity on PC wasn't too hot either. Ubisoft under-deliver on every platform these days it seems.

Excuse me?
Why would it be considered surprising that I won a bet? I'll have you know that, to date, I have a perfect win record for my bets. :P

You can at least give Ubisoft credit for Far Cry 4 cause that game runs sweet on PC and everyone is enjoying it ...
Watch Dogs isn't that all that bad and Unity isn't hot but it's pushing a lot of things such as physically based shading, tons of AI, as well as tessellation soon. AC Unity is the ONLY game that uses tessellation correctly compared to every other PC game.
I think the worst offender of a PC port is Dead Rising 3 from Capcom cause that game doesn't even look all that great and to add insult to injury a GTX 980 still can't run this game in 1080p maxed out at 60FPS ...

I didn't read the whole article, but didn't Digital Foundry say Far Cry 4 stuttered on PC?
And wow, there really isn't any other game that uses tesselation correctly on PC? At all? Just one game? That's pretty disappointing, I had no idea.
