Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Pokemon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire sell over 3m WW

According to Famitsu (quoting The Pokémon Company), Pokémon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire has sold over 3 040 00 units worldwide, during the first 3 days.

Earlier this morning, they announced that the game had solver over 1.5 million in Japan alone, so that makes roughly 1.5 millions for North America.

The Pokémon Company notes that the game hasn't launched in Europe yet (it's coming out this Friday), so of course, they expect even better sales.

Japan: 1 534 593.
North America: ~ 1 505 407.

The Japan number in the OP doesn't include digital sales, so US number should be slightly lower... but yeah, it's had a marvelous opening for sure.

Isn't quoting gaf a banable offence?

Op: Good news for Nintendo. Hopefully they carry the momentum further into the holiday season.

Woh! That's without Europe. Sold amazingly well in the US then!

Without Europe, those are crazy sales. You have to wonder how much it bit into Smash sales though; probably not too much but it should be a great week for Nintendo either way.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Those are incredible NA sales that easily trump X/Y's NA start, but I actually expected a little more from Japan. Thought it would be closer to 2m there. Either way, fantastic start. Though lately this franchise has not seemed to have the sales legs they once did. They keep opening bigger and finishing smaller.

Wow, amazing start, and it's without Europe too. It's not as big here in Europe than it is in the US and especially Japan, but we should be looking at at least 3.5m, which is amazing.
