Well thanks for sending it to me. It's not like I was planning on doing anything tomorrow...

Well... to be honest the story did move at a slower pace on Xenoblade, but coupled with exploring such a beatiful world, and the fact you could advance at your own pace, it was hardly noticeable. It was overall a great story though.

I can only expect this one to have a Xenosaga like epic story contained in a single game.

I wish they stopped this though. I am afraid the game wont meet my expectations if they keep hyping me up. ^^

XD

Its not that long. Mostly just speculation about party members, primordial wilderness, and online stuff.

Uh oh. "Deep story" in a JRPG usually means batshit insane that most will not have the time or interest to figure out. Like what happened in the Kingdom Hearts franchise after the first. I'd much rather they go the XC route for plot than that.

I believe they will do fine. Apparently during the first year of development, they meet with Nintendo every week to discuss story.

Why does everyone want to project Square-Enix's missteps onto Monolith Soft

Why does every one of Nintendo's fans act like Nintendo never releases anything less than perfection?

So the answer to why people think Monolith Soft will destroy their main JRPG series is because Nintendo fans love Nintendo games?

You are asking the wrong person. I love Xenoblade and I am fully aware of every one of its flaws and hopeful that the sequel will address them.

That does not mean that I am using the actions of other developers to justify my belief that the director is lying about his intentions or too incompetent to incorporate them. I have realistic expectations for Xenoblade X based on what has been shown, what has been described, and what has been accomplished recently by this developer. I am not making stupid excuses like suggesting that the game might not have a story at all because neither does Tetris.

"But Kingdom Hearts" is grasping at straws looking for a reason to be skeptical of Xenoblade X. If you really want to be skeptical, there are easier targets. People could complain about some of Xenoblade's flaws instead. But half the people being unreasonably skeptical probably didn't play Xenoblade at all, and the other half probably idolize it so much that they can't admit it has any flaws.

Yeah, I think at least half the people being down on Xenoblade X are exactly the Nintendo fans you're referring to.

But you're the person who started it in this thread, so I think you've said your piece.
