Forums - Gaming Discussion - I wish they'd make a GTA game where your actions matter.

I understand, the whole point of GTA is that you have the freedom to do whatever the hell you want. But I think it'd be more intense if "responsibility" was added to the game, in the sense that all your actions have consequences that will come back at you later on.

For instance, if I murder a guy off the street, the cops will eventually track me down for that murder and it'll stay in my rap sheet for the rest of the game. I can still do it if I want, but it'll just be harder for me to sneak by the police.

It would be awesome if your goal in the game became how to avoid getting caught for your crimes on a grander scale. At the moment, if you get caught or killed, the game just restarts. What if there were courts and juries and prisons in the game, wherein if you get caught, you go through the legal process? That would make committing crimes feel more real and meaningful and not just random crap.

or they could make a new IP and not change what makes their current franchise so popular...

They should also make you use your turn signal and pay child support if you knock up a hooker. Fun.

Because noone plays these games to go through a legal syst

The biggest fun aspect of GTA is that it isn't the real life. You can do crazy s***, nothing happens and you just laugh of the insane things. Making it like real life would just kill the fun.

I already think that the driving physics added in GTA IV, where you fall easily of your bike or fly out of your car during crashes already made the game less fun.

That just rewards skill

There is no action game where you don't mow down 100s of people and thus almost always deserve to be in jail (or dead depending on your views). I don't want a GTA where I can't just mess about doing what I want knowing there are long term consequences.

In V, I spent ages trying to steal the Titan cargo jet from the military base and kept getting shot down. Do you want me to wake up under custody and have to escape from a military hospital each time?

I think it's just a PITA. The game driving controls aren't top notch and there is too much traffic. It's just a pain to travel several miles just to end dead because of sub-par driving controls. It isn't Gran Turismo, driving in GTA is just a mean to reach a destination.

I enjoyed the challenge of having to weave through traffic. Then again, I enjoyed the boat-like controls of 4. Maybe I'm just weird

They sound more like additions for a third Mafia game (Which 2K better be working on >:|) than a GTA game to be honest. They're cool little features but when all I want to do is snipe hookers from atop the Vinewood sign I'm probably not in the mood for paperwork.

Yeah make a new IP for that but don't ruin our GTA please.
