I was on this site about a week ago and I saw a biased review giving Bayonetta 2 a less than stellar review. I just checked and the guy that wrote it isn't banned. I'm not comfortable with this.

Why is he given the freedom to do the things he does? What kind of access does he have? Can he access our email addresses? Are Personal messages persaonl? Can he implement malware?

We are not using this website for free. It's full of immersion-killing ads. Every other website I use regulary sees regular progression and improvements. Why not vgc?

-Adblocker, I know I'm not suppose to promote it but after years of dealing with that shit and giving Brett a chance to make it reasonable I had to say fuck it and block everything on VG Chartz, soooo much better. We kind of skipped ahead of time with progression and improvements, in just a few years the site was completely redesigned 3 or 4 times, they had it right at one point and just kept changing it. Now the owner started a new website and putting all his time and focus in that, he claims the VG Chartz name is tainted for what were known about and wanted to move away from it with Gamewise. Hell all the problems VG Charzt has Brett said he could fix in an hour if he wanted, wtf?

It's funny that some of you are excited to apply for non paid moderating duties that ulitmately serve the owner who doesn't give a damn.

I don't know if you been around for a long time before your sign up date but back in the day hilarious stunts like banning mods and Brett happened from time to time from epic threads or some peoples retarted or drunken threads that was turn the whole forum upsidedown, it's what made VG Chartz forum so addicting you never know what to expect. Not to mention the tools we had at the time to create some mind fucking blowned threads about sales were awesome.

Bottom line, I am not comfortable browsing VGC anymore.

- If your that sensitive, you know where the log out button is buddy.

1. I wasn't attacking the guy. I hold no resentment towards him. I should thank him for exposing the how vulnerable vgc really is. I find what he does hilarious.

2. That's because the requests are being asked too nicely. I suggest mods stop being too passive with their demands. Read my other few posts above this one

4. I've been a lurker since the white and blue vgchartz.

5. Sensitive about what? Why do people like to throw the sensitive card whenever someone express their frustration? I am not even frustrated. I just think the community as a whole can be treated with more respect. Especially the mods.

I did that stuff as a going away party. I'm done with vgchartz and really don't care about posting or viewing threads here anymore.

However conegamer brought this thread to my attention, so I'm giving a bit of clarification then leaving for good (again).

I have never hacked in to the vgchartz server. Everything I've done has either been by changing data values when posting or putting html code in my posts.

With the first one, all that allowed me to do was put in numbers that vgchartz didn't give as a predefined option. So for example with the posts per page profile option, this method allows people to put in anything they want. It works exactly the same way as posting in a locked thread. Nothing dangerous or bad about it, just potentially annoying. ioi has fixed a few of these in the past, for example ghost threads, since they are just simple oversights with the server code.

The second one allows a lot more to be done, but it only does things while viewing that specific post. For example the very well known [ b ] bug that makes everything after it bold. It only affects pages showing that post, not the whole site. The only things I did with this one were fun and amusing (or at least intended as such), but they are an EXTREME security hole. If someone had malicious intentions, they could do pretty much anything to people viewing their posts.

Now no need to be afraid or worried. First of all the chances of someone even wanting to attack vgchartz and having the capability to do it are slim. Secondly, the reason some things have not been displaying properly for a while is because ioi is working to remove this exploit. VGChartz is a secure and safe website.
