He doesn't have special rights. What he does can be done by anyone on the forum. It's just him who obviously has too much time on his hands.
The problem is that this forum parses all html code including that in the comments and our stupid browsers execute all html code they see. That way we are able to post articles of other websites intact.

It should be fairly easy for someone to plant malicious code inside of comments. It then is a matter of how resilient our browsers are against that code.

I got a unusual warning that showed "fatal error" about 30 minutes ago when I tried to visit this very thread. 

I've noticed this too. Several formating options don't seem to function, at least on my devices.

Sometimes this site makes me say "your" when I mean "you're" or " there " when I mean "their". It's really annoying and I hope they fix it.
