I get that MS threw money into exclusive advertising but are people really expecting that to negate the PS4's install base?

MCC dropped 8 places if you take out the new releases above it. That's a steep drop.

By comparison SO increased 2 places when taking out the new releases above it. So that's a good hold.

Weird that Fifa and CoD are quite a bit higher on the chart for Xb one. If anything that might indicate that bundles are selling and thus Xb one is ahead again this week. OTOH the other Xb one multiplat "exclusive" Ass Creed is higher for PS4.

So FC4 "is by far the most successful in terms of week1 sales". We have FC3 on 360 ~110 FW. "By far" implies something like 150K, it's not "nearly double" so it isn't 190K+, it's not "more than double" so it's not >120K, and it's not "slightly more" so it's >120K. As GTA is above that it means also >150K. Bummer we don;t know the sku % splits for either FC4 or GTA. Bummer we also don't have Black Ops VGC data for UK.

Hardware ratio is 1.34:1 to PS4, so any game that sells at a ratio greater than that in favour of PS4, with exclusive advertising/content has benefitted PS4. OTOH, DA:I had advertising exclusivity with MS and its sales ratio in favour of PS4 is slightly better than GTAV. FC4 was definitily good for PS4 since that sales ratio is way higher for PS4.

There's no way to slice that DA;I exclusive advertising ffor Xb one was beneficial to MS. DA:I went to PS4 at a higher ratio than the current hardware ratio. Exclusive advertising should at least have put that ratio in Xb one's favour.

The weird thing about GTA is that GTAV PS3:360 ratio compared to hardware ratio is better for PS3. So the new gen versions ratio only being slightly in favour of PS4 is odd, considering the exclusive advertising.
