Because its designed to pull in people who wouldn't normally donate blood by enticing them with video games...its a little silly, but certainly not "awful" or "the worst idea I have heard in a long time" or "twisted and moronic" or anything like that.

Lets see.. Few cm's of Needle in your one your veins of your arm.. Sudden movement with arms due to competive gaming.. Nope can't see why that would go wrong.

I don't know about you, but when I game competitively, or when I watch people who game competitively, most of the time they/I get into an almost catanonic state...I don't often see people waving their arms around, unless they are 12 and in full rage mode.
