Really?  I heard Anarchy Reigns was a mess, but isn't the rest of their stuff held in pretty high regard?

1-People get over poorly optimised games, just look at the latest Ubisoft games or pretty much any Besthesda game on launch.

2-The games are short and that may affect peoples purchases, but in all honesty plenty of other short games sell.

3-They arent so much of a niche genre, they have mainly been action games. It is true that the genre is waning though. The design is very niche though. Majority of gamers these days care for western style games.

Honestly, I feel a lot of people simply boycotted Bayo2 for the stupidest of reasons... I know a few like that.

We aren't core enough for their games...

Their games have been released by publishers that poorly market their games. Nintendo and Sega.
Sega especially.
I found Vanquish on a list of "best games you never played-2010".

Around the Network

I think they sell fine for what they are. I imagine they don't have a lot of overhead. Metal Gear Rising sold 1.62 according to VGC and Pc purchases or digital purchased do not play a role in that number so I imagine it's above 2 mil. Bayonetta 1 sold over 2 million which is a good number. Just because games don't sell like 5 million plus doesn't mean they don't sell good. The COD's and GTA's changed the way every one looks at numbers and that's a problem.

Platinum has made some fantastic games but as awhole but I imagine 98% of people who play video games even know who they are. Vanquish is an incredible game with some truly amazing concepts but hardly anyone has played it unfortunately.

Because they are boring and average.

IMO

The best game is ranked 7.5/10 in my personal view.

But I see why a lot of guys love them.

It's because they try to make original concepts, characters and gameplay. In today's market, you're not rewarded with huge numbers for doing that.

This. lol

Zero mass market appeal.

Because life is unfair...
