Simply said: Platinum games are niche.
They differ a lot from popular genres like FPS, TPS, Sports.... the hack´n´slash genre feels like the old beat´em-ups for today´s players. Many will find the games repetitive.

Hack n slash games don't sell? You should look how mainline God Of War games sell. God Of War III sold 5.2 million units by May 31, 2012 according to Sony's own sales figures.

I think hack n slash sells pretty well. Some of the best games of the last few generations were hack n slash.

Also, I tried out Wonderful 101 last night and I'm impressed. The demo didn't impress much, but playing through a few levels vastly changed that perspective. It's an excellent game.

lol no. What kind of logic is that?

That's the logic you applied to Platinum Games lack of sales. Don't look at me!

Do you even have a point or are you discussing for discussion's sake?

Most gamers don't like the games they make.

How do you know that?

Why are they not buying them?

Good point.

I've never eaten waffles so I must not like them.

Player2 made it even more clear.

Unless you ignore our points and say we're discussing for discussion's sake, of course.

mostly 3. But IMHO the games just arent that great and they get hyped alot on some of them being exclusive

Yes. Why are you expecting them to be good anyway when you haven't eaten them?

You can tell yourself that. If their games were good enough people would've noticed. Not every franchise began because a company like activision was behind it.

So I'm using the same argument you gave back then to disprove yourself.

Demon's Souls sold very well -> Puppeteer bombed. By your logic, people didn't buy Puppeteer because they obviously didn't like the previous game from SCE Japan.

Bayonetta sold very well -> Vanquish bombed. By your logic, people didn't buy Vanquish because they obviously didn't like the previous game from Platinum Games.
