Xbox One. It has Halo and all the great 3rd parties than the cooler PS4 has.

I think your obvious choice is the PS4. Most of Xbox exclusives are shooters so you will not find much variety there.

You get some games that might be up your alley like Bloodborn, Last guardian when it finally get re-unveiled, Little big planet 3, Last man's sky, etc. It seems like an overall more compelling offer of exclusives for you from what you say. Xbox only seems to have Halo for you, but isnt that a generic shooter by now aswell?

hmm, if I were you I'd get the PS4.

The Xbone is a great value with all the deals going at this time. But the PS4 games 3rd party games are generally more polished and looks a little better on it than the Xbone.

PS4 to play with your friends of course. But that's just my choice.

IMO for now XB1 is only worth it if you love open world racing games (Forza Horizon 2). Other than that there's no must have games. Get an XB1 when it gets games you really love like Halo 5 & Gears 4.

My 8th gen collection

Just go where your favorite games are. Do you value Halo more than Uncharted? Buy a XB1. Looking forward to playing Bloodborne? Buy a PS4. Right now, the only thing I'm sure of is that the PS4 has the better HW and a more efficient, complete and user friendly OS. Which console has/will have the best games is just a matter of preferences, and you should know your own preferences.

what ever you mix with Wii U is a perfect combo

For short term pleasure, Xbox One. For long term pleasure, PS4.

Outside of the exclusives that Sony and Microsoft are pushing, the PS4 is going to get more exclusives from third party Japanese developers than Microsoft has.  In TGS there's already been exclusive announcements like Persona 5, Disgaea 5(garbage,) Dragon Quest Heroes(more garbage,) Earth Defense Force, Yakuza Zero, etc, etc, etc, that's either exclusive to PS4 or cross platform between PS3/PS4 or PSVita/PS4.

Additionally.  Sony has made it a staple to make their launch offerings look like complete ass.  Go look at the first year on every single one of their consoles, then go and look at how much content they've pushed out in the following years.  Microsoft on the other hand goes all in during their first couple years then the quantity of exclusives drop drasticially.

Imo, buying the PS4 first and then maybe getting the Xbox One later seems like the obvious choice.  You won't be missing much going exclusive to the PS4.  You'll be missing a lot of games from one section of the world plus other exclusives going with the Xbox One.
