My problem is the flip flopping and I stated it happens on all sides. That was it, nothing more. Well, that and all the stupid "Too much water" jokes that the thread quickly devolved into.

Main Mario titles use to be Nintendo's marquee IP. Back in my day (80's) you bought NES for ONE franchise... SMB. Now? Smash is that game. It reviews better (NSMBU and SMB 3DW) and it's the reason core gamers buy Nintendo consoles. 

Hell, SSB has outsold every main 3D Mario since Gamecube. Melee beat Sunshine, Brawl beat Galaxy and I'm pretty sure this new game will beat the pants off of 3DW. 

That's why I said it's the new Mario.
