Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do you STILL Think the Wii U can Outsell the Xbox One??

Who will win in sales?

Wii U will win 160 40.00%

Xbox One will win 240 60.00%

Total:400

We knew from the beginning that Wii-U would inevitably become third place in sales for this gen. It just XBone a little longer to push past the Wii-U than it did for PS4. SSB will make Wii-U more competitive this holiday, but unless it can sell over 500K units more than the XBone for the week of the 22nd, there's no chance in hell of it passing the XBone from here on out.

I always root for the underdog. Do I think it CAN? Sure, why the heck not? Do I think it should? DEFINITELY!

Xbox One offers nothing unique or interesting and therefore it SHOULD LOSE in a perfect and just world.

If u think that of the x1 than u must think the same of the ps4. All it had are indies and mutiplats. While the wii u does have exclusives no serious gamer would own one without also having a x1 or ps4 because it doesn't get the multiplat form games.

I'm a serious gamer and i do not own a PS4 or a X1. All i have is a Wii u for the exclusives and a PC for the 3rd parties.

The only thing that interest me over the two other consoles are Uncharted 4, KillZone 4 and maybe Halo MCC

At the moment I do not see the must in the two consoles (buying one console full price for one game is not logical for me), but does not mean it has to be this way for everyone.

All 3 companies are making money now so at least it garantee the diversity in the video game industry

Wii U is a dead console. Wii U is financial fail.

I heard that many times last gen with my PS3.

Even the guy at Gamestop was laughing at my decision and now look how well the PS3 is now.

PS3 was supported well.

Not at the begining. Lots of ppl told me it was a dead console that Sony should drop it, etc , etc....

It started to go well only when they released the slim version.

At the begining the 3rd parties was making bad and bugy port like they did over the Wii U. I just feel it's a repeat but with Nintendo this time.

The X1 will probably come out ahead which is sad when comparing both libraries. As long as shooter obsessed teenage boys are the main demographic that won´t change. Oh well, back to Bayonetta

Really? Then if I'm a racing fan, which console should I buy? The one that has Mario Kart 8 and Super Toy Cars or the one that has Forza 5, Forza Horizon 2, NFS Rivals, Trials Fusion and The Crew? Just curious to know your suggestion...

Yeah, some of these people act as if XB1 nad PS4 only have shooters, even though their biggest exclusives and the vast majority of their library is not shooters.

"and is likely a million past the Wii U as of November 21."

just no.

To be honest it doesn't matter if it outsells it or not. As long as the company is profitable (which it is) then its outlook is better. And it always has been. The Xbox and the PS brands have little to show for all of their millions of consoles sold. Its still debated to this day whether or not the Xbox Brand has been overall profitable.

Silly question to ever ask. It was known before this generation ever started that the Wii U would be 3rd. Only question has ever been was how far behind the Wii U will end up at the end of the generation. Nintendo went the route of trying to create a fad like they successfully did with the Wii and reaching like that rarely succeeds.  Even with the Wii we saw how it was a huge initial success then tanked as the generation continued.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

No but it sucks for the WiiU. It is a good console and I love Nintendo games / hardware in general.
The timing for the WiiU was very bad...

I'm still hoping for Nintendo to surprise us with a new console soon that is as good (if not better) powerful as the Xbox One / Playstation 4.
