Forums - Sales Discussion - Looks like X1 will get November

You never know. While XB1 has sold more for the first 3 weeks of November, we don't know how accurate VGC numbers are. Black Friday could change that. There is only a 212k difference according to VGC numbers, that could be made up next week.

I do expect Microsoft to outsell Sony, but I would hesitate to call eating all that loss a victory. At this point the X1 has to make twice as much money as the 360 ever did just to break even. I really don't think they can do that. Especially when games are coming slower this time around and they've only really got North America again.

In the US, yes. Not overall though.

Exactly this.

Any victory is good of course, but if it's not worldwide then it's sadly not too great.

Oh it definitely won't win worldwide. America is the only one duped by MS:p but in all seriousness PS4 is going to win worldwide, but who is sad about that?:)

I always said X1 would win November this year. And that was before the aggressive bundling and price drops.

Although I do think that they have just brought a lot of sales forward slightly rather than taking a load of consumers away that were thinking of getting a PS4, and I would expect less of a December bump than what PS4 will get

I think you're right on. PS4 sales aren't getting hurt by these sales at all so its strong evidence that MS has just encouraged people that were already going to get an X1 to get one sooner. If it was taking PS4 sales then PS4 sales would drop and they haven't.

I am more interested in MS PR response when they do win Nov NPD. Will they brag about it or stay humble? Personally I think they should be humble, as its taken huge price drops to get them the win....

If they're smart they won't even mention it. They had to do A LOT while Sony just sat back and watched to win a single month. That isn't much to celebrate to be honest.

Not sure why so many are claiming defeat. Sure, on Amazon and Best Buys sites the XBO is ahead. But, two of the (probably) largest retailers for video games, Wal-Mart and Gamestop have had the PS4 ahead all month. Then, we have BF, which could very well be a big win for PS4. Nothing is determined, yet.

If MS continue to be aggressive until the end of the month then i'd say it's more than likely. Sony could probably still win if they announced a bundle with $50 off, but they don't appear ready to play that card yet.

Sorry.. The GameStop best seller list is absolute crap.. It has the $449 COD:AW bundle for Xbox One selling WAY better then the $349 bundles..    and a $400 Wii U outselling X1.. sorry..     no way these are correct numbers...  Not single chance.. GameStop doesnt even assign a #.. it is JUST a list..    Amazon has always been a good indicator of where the NDP falls..

XBLive: cpg716     PSN ID: cpg716  Steam: Luv4Tech77

Predictions on 12/01/15 - Generation 8 Totals:

PS4: 85-95m
X1: 55-65m
WiiU: 20-30m

XB1 will more than likely take NPD, looks like it. MS went all out and they got their prize.

US possibly (and I didn't think I would actually need to use that word)
World Wide (not a chance)

And this will be the first Christmas in many many years were Sony don't lose any ground to MS.

Yeah its pretty obvious that its only in the US that X1 has a chance. The PS4 wins world wide hands down.
