Plan to give it a test run. I skipped the PS4 version because I just didn't feel like dropping $29 on a mere 2-hour try out. $54 on Steam, however - then we'll be talking.

$54 for Ground Zeroes seems like a lot lol

Looks awesome!!! I will play this when it comes out! I might get GZ on steam sale though cause fuck that price! But yea, it looks great and the specs aren't retarded unlike some other ports *cough* Unity *cough*

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

That options menu is putting to shame a lot of western AAA multiplat devs as well as some big name PC only devs.
Good job Kojima.

It's going to be so beautiful!

Hopefully the difference in lighting between PS4 and PC won't be that big for Phantom Pain.

Good stuff, this is more like how you do PC ports.

This week, Konami and Kojima Productions took the wraps off the long-awaited PC edition of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, and today we can exclusively share with you the first 1920x1080 PC screenshots from the game. Even better, we're able to show you how the PC conversion compares to the original PlayStation 4 release using our interactive screenshot comparison tool.

If you're unfamiliar with Metal Gear, it is a sprawling franchise spanning nearly three decades of games, primarily focussed on sneaky special forces action. There's an unbelievably huge interconnected story that when summarised covers hundreds of pages, it's famous for its hours of in-game, expertly-directed cinematics, and its developer, Hideo Kojima, is regarded as one of gaming's best. For PC gamers who are fans, excitement for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has reached fever-pitch, as it is the first game in the mainline series to launch on PC since Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty in 2003. The even better news is that Ground Zeroes will be followed by Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in 2015 (Ground Zeroes is in essence a prologue).

So what's new in the PC edition Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes? Here's a handy list:

  • 60 FPS frame rate
  • Additional deferred lights per scene
  • Additional shadows per scene
  • Higher-resolution render targets
  • Higher-resolution shadows
  • Increased detail over distances
  • NVIDIA SLI Multi-GPU support
  • Options to adjust seven graphics features (Effects, Lighting, Screen Filtering, Shadows, Texture Filtering, Textures)
  • Resolution support up to and including 3840x2160 (4K)
  • Screen Space Reflections

Many of those enhancements can be seen in our first interactive comparison, exemplifying the leap in image quality found in the PC edition of Ground Zeroes.

Screen Space Reflections, meanwhile, can be found in our second exclusive screenshot and comparison.

If you're wondering what kind of rig you'll need to enjoy all of this extra eye-candy, here are Konami's Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes system requirements:

Minimum Specifications

  • OS: Windows Vista 64-Bit or later
  • Processor: Core i5 Sandy Bridge 4 Core (4 Thread) 2.7GHz or above
  • Memory: 4GB RAM or above
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 650 or above
  • DirectX: Version 11 or above

Recommended Specifications

  • Processor: Core i5 Sandy Bridge 4 Core (4 Thread) 2.7GHz or above
  • Memory: 8GB RAM or above
  • Graphics: GeForce GTX 760 or above

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes launches on PC on 18th December. In the meantime, anyone seeking more Metal Gear should check out the excellent action spin-off, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which launched on PC earlier this year. Rumour has it, its impressive sales figures led the way for a return to PC for Metal Gear Solid.

I need a 4k tv soon...

For people who want to play in 4k, restrain yourself. Even a f*cking Titan Black Z can't handle it very well... Plus, you'll have to use a HDMI 2.0. If your graphic card don't have a HDMI 2.0 out you'll be blocked at 30fps in 4K. Wich is something you don't want.
