Nintendo (through the summer) has been doing insane with commercial advertising of the Wii U and 3DS systems, thanks to the great E3 presentation, keeping up to dates with Directs, and trying to advertise on YouTube more. It almost looked like Nintendo could get a more mature and older audience, but I think you should take a look at these three commercials before continuing reading.

Those were probably the worst 3 commercials they have put up recently. I am a mardcore Nintendo fanboy, I'll admit to that, but even I cringe at these ads. They are obviously trying to appeal to a casual young market AGAIN, which I don't think Is wrong, but you need that older audience. To be fair though, they have made some good casual games lately for the Wii U like Wii Sports Club, the problem is, they don't advertise THOSE games at all. They make their first priority games like Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, etc, look childish enough that a third grader would agree he would be too old for that.
Now, Nintendo has done well will advertising up until now, as I said. They also have had decent commercials for Smash Bros lately, so WHY NOT MAKE MORE LIKE THOSE COMMERCIALS?! It's actually astonishing, those ads showed off gameplay, reasons to buy it, and it appealed to an older audience, but oh my lord they are making such juvenile commercials it is actually kind of embarresing.
I am sick of Nintendo trying to keep a casual market. It's not working at all, and It is putting a dreadful stereotype on Nintendo fans. I don't want people to think that anybody carrying a 3ds in public may seem like a man-child damn it! Nintendo PLEASE fix your strategy, do you really want this, really?
Anyway, just for fun, let's all remember that wii u ad from last year, which is the worst Nintendo commercial I've EVER seen.
