SSBM is a serious fighter, do you not watch evo this year and last year? SF+SSB are top fighters overall in popularity. SSB without the help of Nintendo in the competitivescene is all you need to look at to tell it is in fact a serious fightig game.

I would like links to some vids where people are making awesome combos and playing mind tricks in this game, I want to see some frame specific combos, perfectly calculated reach attacks and stuff like that, setups and all that cool stuff, all i have seen is SSB is a bunch of people jumping around running after one another, blindly throwning punches or running away from one another. All this with cartoonish graphics by the way.

I've never played a good KoF player, probably because it's a shit button masher that no one plays, but as for Tekken: my brother is a decent player. He's played a few tournaments and can beat a few lower level pros. His buddy, a greese monkey who doesn't play video games, has beaten him 4 out of 10 matches by mashing with Lilly. True story.
Also, I never said Melee was a "serious fighting game".
