Lol I love how people react saying they drop the price 200 bucks or it's a 200 bucks XB

I hope you guys don't do your personal accounting like thatcause it's appauling at best...

lets push the reasoning further, you have a pad in there that cost 50 bucks, you have a HDMI cable that cost 5 bucks, a headset at say 10 bucks, packaging that probably cost say 3 bucks, shipping and handling probably cost 5 bucks, marketing and advertising 5 bucks... (haven't check the numbers) so basically you have a 200-(50+5+10+3+5+5)=200-78=122

I'm sure if we dig further they are actually paying us mouhahahahah

except that would be called straw man. It's actually realistic to say that a person who wants AC4 and another game is paying 200$ for an xbox1.

Granted, the market of people who want 2 games right out the gate with one of them being assassin's creed is fractional...but it's there. The first thing every user should buy is a game, so the majority of consumers will be buying a system + 1 game of choice, which would be 329$ + 59.99$ assuming a new release like cod (a major system seller for xb)

=400$

So, instead of paying 400$, you're paying 329$, which is inversely affected by the free game, making it 269$.
This is just plain math.
If AC4 + Black flag is worth 60$ to you, then by the same law, it's a 209$ console.
Because you would be paying 209 for the system, plus 120 for games, which equals the sticker price.

You would havea  point however, if there was another SKU that didn't include any of those additional costs and was a lower price. Thereby, we could determine the values of each component at retail or secondary market to discover which is more valuable relative the removals. Let's call the one with peripherals XBA and the one without XBB. XBA is 329 no games, XBB is 279 no peripherals or games. Given the prices you valued above, you could say that XBB is basically a
359$ XBA, as it's XBB plus the costs of peripherals needed to be an XBA.

An actual counterpoint would be if the 3 free games (black flag, unity, choice) are only worth 60$ because you're planning to buy off ebay at a heaviily discounted price, then it would be a 269$ system. Or another would be if AC4 and BF aren't worth anything to you. You're not taking the reasoning further, you're just blowingv things out of proportion to make a silly point.

The deals are getting better and better. Too bad they are not in this country.

Basically a 200$ xbox one.

Yeah people buying the $500 at the beginning of the year must feel completely ripped of right know.

Just wait til they release the xbox1 slim, which has been hinted at as having a faster processor.

It's why my sig exists. I honestly don't understand how people buy xbox. Not trying to troll. I just never would.
When it was announced, I actually considered a purchase because I like the kinect 2 and the additional features. But half the features don't even exist yet, family share is out the window, and price is dropping so rapidly that there's hardly a reason to buy one now....if a new sku comes out with better hardware...what's the point?

I have some bad memories of Xbox myself. I bought Kinect for 360, one or two months later the price was cut in half. I also bought the HD-DVD player. Though not completely Microsofts fault, i did support it day one for close to 200 bucks.

And offcourse the Red Ring of Death, though considering i hade a launchmodel i got lucky that it lasted about 2 and a half years. My second one broke down aswell(hdmi model). Ow and a very noisy power brick.

So nope no Xbox for me anymore, and looking at these prices i made a good call. I remember they pulled the same thing with the original Xbox to a few months after launch, the ended up giving early buyers some free games because they realised that was a bad way to start of a brand. But now that Xbox is pretty big, they don't care anymore.

That's an incredible deal. A pity Assassins Creed Unity didn't turn out so great, but regardless, still a great offer.

Sales are going to be crazy.

Is AC U just broken and being probably patched or just sucks ??? Cause if the series is dead I ain't gonna bother with black flag that have yet to play... Too many games to play to waste time on a serie about to die... (I lived AC so far but i need ti make choices to trim my backlog)

It could be a decent, if not good game if the technical issues were sorted out. Another big problem is Ubisoft's insistance on linking it with Uplay and their companion app.

Other than those, Paris is beautiful and easily the best AC city ever, and the MC is decent.

what's broken exactly?

The frame rate (easily averages below 30, sometimes goes in to the teens), the crashes (occasional, but still there).

Another thing that is almost game breaking for me (although not in the technical sense) is Ubsifoft's insistance on locking content until you play their companion app. No, it's not a lot, but it's enough to make you frustrated with them. The app itself is really bad, with long loading times and even a "premium" version (Seriously? After I just spent $60 on the main game? C'mon).

Paris is beautiful though, and the NPC count can be astonishing. Arno is a decent character, as is Elise. If you are getting the game for free (like in this bundle), it's probably worth it.
