Forums - Gaming Discussion - Microsoft started the bloodiest price war in console history?

Is it really a war when only one is competing? I mean Xbox One went from $499 at launch down to $349 within a year while PS4 launched at $399 and is still $399.

No, dude. It didn't drop $150. A "new SKU was introduced", and then that has a temporary price reduction. Only $50. People totally care about the logistics behind all that and not just at the price tag of what it takes to get an Xbone. MS hasn't moved the price down that much

It doesn't matter that things were taken out of the box, if u wanted a Xbox One at launch u had to pay $499, if u want one now u have to pay $349, the price of entry has dropped by $150 since launch. That is a fact.

Aye tis the same here in Argos, the 2ds is always listed as a DS console and not a 3ds system, it's on the same page as just DS games.... stupid to cause such confusion as to what it can play.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

last year, I got a PS3 with the last of us and Arkham origins for $199 on black Friday. Tookseven years for prices to get that low.

At this rate, the eighth gen consoles will be cheaper than the seventh gen consoles!

Sony haven't cut the priced and for the first time this gen have games bundled without extra cost but during BF, so it isn't a war.
