1. Microsoft is a cut throat company. They can take the hit for a risk like this for two months. The first two bundles were limited anyway.
2. Microsoft as I've said before came into the industry to take out Sony. Its the same reason they made the Zune. Any multimedia device with an OS is a threat to them that has a large marketshare.

Mattrick is to blame for this, as Kutaragi was to blame for PS3, even years after he resigned (or got fired? I don't remember)

MS was recently discovered to have plans for a new slimline xb1 with a faster processor.
Pretending like Mattrick is behind all the anti-consumer practices. Nope. It's still very much alive.
MS hasent cut the price outside of the US. If Sony was at all worried they would offer something better than the last gen remastered bundle they put out this Christmas.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

No way, Gamecube was way more extreme. Down to $99 withing just two years.
They could have but not yet.
They have begun a fire sale like we've never seen before. Sony are still selling the PS4 at the price they launched at. A few BF and Xmas bundles don't mean they've responded. The way I see it, they can sell every PS4 they can possibly get into the US market this Xmas at their current prices. If they cut the price and respond to MS they will just sell out quicker and Sony will make a lot less money than if they sold the same number for the current price.
The thing people forget is that Sony will sell a ridiculous amount WW this year. MS won't and so are able to put most of their units to the US and as i've said sell them all in a firesale. I honestly think the company who can ship the most to the US this xmas will win there. If the Xbox is selling better but sells out then sales will go to the
the PS4 and vica versa.
