Sure, Okay...

Black fri stock and bundles are planned well in advance, sony cannot just ship 500k consoles with a bundle on a whim. EVEry year there are black fri bundles, MS price cut had zero to do with sony's bundles.

liking this gen at this rate by 2016 xb1 will be at $250 -$300 , ps4 at $300-350 and wiiU at $200-$250 ( gamepad makes the costs higher )
then i will pounce and buy an xb1 and a wiiU
i live in nigeria , its a playstation nation wont be able to trade games with my friends or get games, so i am stuck with ps , pretty much like this in asia ,most of europe,  africa and alot of south america , we dont care much for the other 2, and we are very very casual gamers, we stick to big AAA franchises in nigeria tho ps+ is finally making my friends see the value in other genres

tho i am bit of an outlier

Why are people praising Microsoft for lowering the price of something they sold overpriced in the first place? Get back on Earth, the console is less powerful and should hence be sold at a lower price. These deals are great, but they are just correcting a mistake, not doing miracles.

Sony have yet to directly counter any of MS's various entry price cuts and promotions over the last year, so it's not really a war yet. It's more MS trying to compete against the price Sony started with.

Sony will cut the PS4's price eventually, but it's hard to say when. I get the impression they're waiting for the perfect moment (a $50 price cut could have a massive effect), but they mustn't wait too long. The US in particular is still a very competitive region; they can't afford to give MS too much breathing room.
