PS3 easily. It's way too early in the generation to call Xb one and Wii U as comebacks. PS3 came back to end up selling over 50% of it's predecessor. It is far from certain that Xb 1 will sell over 40 million and it is all but impossible for Wii U to sell 50 million. Both consoles need to outsell their 6th gen counterparts just to be able to claim any measure of coming back.

3DS managed a decent comeback, but it's a long way to go before it can claim a comeback the equal or better than PS3.

first party wasnt bad

its first year is better than all 8th gen consoles IMO ( 2006-2007 )

uncharted , wipeout , motorstorm , heavenly blade , folklore, ratchet and clank , ridg racer 7 , resistance ,twisted metal, super stardust hd , warhawk , mlb 07 ,  gran turismo prologue , (singstar, ninja gaiden sigma??)

I have to say 3ds, that launch was absolutely terrible. Amazing how bad the 3ds launch lineup was compared to the Vita lineup. Not sure what nintendo were doing for that first 8-12 months.

That's not a bad thing in some cases, with the Wii, motion controls were shoehorned in to a lot of good games that didn't need them. Something like Donkey Kong TF does not need gamepad support other than off tv play. Nintendo are rectifying lack of gamepad use by building games centred around that device, something they should have done from the beginning to compliment Nintendo land.

I would have to say PS3 made the best comeback, as it gathered enough momentum to carry Sony into the next gen on a high. That's why its important Nintendo keep pumping out quality games for Wii U, it wont sell gangbusters but it gives customers confidence that Nintendo will heavily support a system even if its doing poorly. I think Sony handled the PS3 very well indeed.

I made a very clear example out of fifa vs Wii fit when it comes to casual and broad appeal.

When it comes to winning console generations; you can't explain something by generalizing. We covered tech standards (which the Wii doesn't qualify for), the market appeal, the software and the brand strength.

The Wii has jack squat.

that was at launch.  I think the gap was over 8 million when the first slim came along.
