I am telling you, they were conspiring with MS to push the DRM thing and they are still supporting MS because is the one console maker that supports their vision.

It's everyone's vision.  Sony wants this also.  They just make it less obvious.

I actually have no doubt that Sony had something similar in mind, the thing is...Microsoft went first, and Sony smartly reacted to the consumer response.  It makes you wonder how any company can come up with such a shitty poilicy, when they supposedly have consumer test groups that they run things by.  Maybe they should start getting people from other countries, and not just American's.  Either way, they should probably think twice about what information they should and should not include during a reveal announcement.  Really contributed to the crushing of the hype that you usually get with new hardware announcements.

Nothing sony this supports your theory, but EA and MS did act, EA removed the seasson passes they had, and they where right beside MS during the Xbone reveal, they are still supporting XBone more that anything, they were rumored to be behind the DRM all along. On the other hand, where is the evidence that sony was going to force DRM? on the contrary they are offering Share play, very similar to family sharing yet the XBone does not have family sharing, why ?

Again? there is no evidence, sony in fact revealed that they had no plan to impose DRM before Ms revealed their DRM plans since there were rumors already going around.

I never said there was any evidence, but I kinda figured both companies would seek to put a stop to resale companies like Gamstop.  Too much additional revenue potential there.  Of course, I never thought consumer's would accept these efforts, if it ended up costing them more.

'We're catching up, high five!'
'But isn't the PS4 outselling you every week?'
'Yes, but we only look at the US and the UK, high five!'
'But didn't the PS4 outsell the XB1 in the US last month?'
'That's history, we're talking about the here and now, high five.'
'Isn't the increase in sales because of the lower price and free games?'
'Not at all! It's because we're back, back I tell you! High five.'
'Don't you think it's a little premature to be celebrating like this after being beaten easily for a year?'
'No, we're closing the gap and that's to be celebrated, high five.'
'But isn't the PS4 outselling the XB1 every week?'
'You already asked that ... high five.'
'Yeah and I'm asking it again because I don't understand what closing the gap means.'
'It means we're closing the gap ... high five ...'
'Do you mean losing by less?'
'10 million nearly, almost shipped ... high five ...'
'Are you going to answer the question?'
'Fuck off.'

funny stuff!!!

so the whole possibility runs only of you thinking perhaps sony was looking at it because it makes sense to you even with no base in know facts?

ps4 reveal they said drm was the publisher choice on how they wanted to do, e3 they were clear, there was no need for day one  patch to correct any drm.

I think they can justify prefential treatment since Sony rejected their EA Access proposal instead of allowing consumers to decide whether it was a good value instead.  Sony is so funny.  Reject EA access for not providing value and then ask 70 bucks for Drive Club.

retail 60, ps+ edition 50... where is it 70?

Canada.

Owwww so we are cherry picking.

let's complain about X1 release price in UK that was close to U$700,00 what a evil company right? Picking one country price to say what you said is quite the reach.

Wouldn't really call it cherry picking.  It's just where I live. I'm not always familiar with american pricing. My point is that it should be for consumers to decide on value. I don't believe Sony was giving the real reason why they rejected the proposal from EA. They didn't want to have to compete with EA for subscription based services on their own console and in this case Microsoft is coming off as being more open and more third party friendly.
