Forums - Sales Discussion - USA pre-order's 15 NOV 2014: Nintendo domination

I think MK8 had 400k pre orders in its last week, so I'm expecting Smash Bros to sell similarly to MK8.

Mario Kart 8 had 270k in the final week on vgc pre orders. smash will have a much bigger first week

GTA V is going to do really well on the PS4.
LBP3 will flop unless its heavily bundled.

This chart is wrong, Senran Kagura SV has been on the market for one month.

And Smash is certainly not ahead of GTAV

have fun telling yourself dat

We do kno pre orders are very strong for SSBU, and not 1 sku of GTA5 isnt even on Top 100 amazon best sellers, not only that but SSBU is 3rd while GTA5 (ps4) is 6th on hourly list and thats with GTA5 being released in a couple hours

GTAV sold 34m on PS360 and remasters usually do very good, so GTAV PS4/X1 will sell at least 1m FW. Smash 3DS sold 700K FW, Smash WiiU on a much smaller install base should do less.

But first 2 game's are Nintendo.

This!

And history doesn't even remember the guy who placed 2nd, let alone the 7 after him. :P

I guess it's a good thing PS4 is first in hardware sales XD

You think Smash's US first week will be bigger than combined GTAV's?

Is your profile pic Satsuke Kiryuin? I can't tell :(

...The size of the install base does not count always....Do not forget the attach rate;)

The 11m difference between n64s' and GCs' install base, didn t stop smash bros melee to sell 2m more than smash bros n64

I love Satsuki Kiryuin but no this isn't her. It's Kagura Mikazuchi, a side character from Fairy Tail !

Cool. Satsuke is a total babe. That's why I thought it was her :P

Funny that Smash has almost 3 times the pre-orders of GTA PS4 but ultimately will sell less in its FW

Sure about that? Not unbelievable, i mean sure GTA ps4 undertracked massively, but even so SSB might easily do close to 500k, maybe over 600k week 1, I dont see a big deal with that, unless GTA5 suppose to be some million seller Week 1. Even Amazon agrees SSBU>Gta5 ps4

You don't think GTAV will be a million seller week 1 (WW)? I don't think it'll make it to a million in the US FW on PS4 alone but certainly quite close and closer than Smash.

Wattt!!! Im talking US^ Of course it'll be a million seller WW.

The thing is are you sure PS4 GTAV>SSBU First Week (US)?  Your making it seem GTAV has it in the bag. (of course im not denying it, just saying dont be surprised if SSBU > GTA PS4

That is the most likely outcome. I was just saying it was funny how GTA has significantly less pre-orders despite the obvious outcome
