Forums - Sales Discussion - UK Charts Week Ending 15 November 2014 (ACU #2, MCC #1 SKU)

According to VGC, these seem to be the 6 biggest Xbox One launch weeks in the UK to date

Game Sales
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare 231,977
Fifa 15 217,381
Destiny 159,262
Titanfall 129,878
Fifa 14 117,925
Watch Dogs 113,563

If the figures we got for Advanced Warfare's 1st week (760k combined) are accurate, that would put week 2 sales at 166k, which means Assassin's Creed Unity combined sales are 150k. This puts the PS4 Assassin's Creed Unity sales at 78k.

We know Halo MCC is greater than PS4 Assassin's Creed Unity, so if the figures we have are correct (which is by no means certain), that would put Halo MCC between 78k and 113k

Xbox One owners are more festive than others?

No, but X1 has an exclusive title (a MASSIVE one at that) and also has nice FIFA bundle, which is probably the number one selling X1 SKU at the moment. HW sales will be increasing every week, probably another boost due to the ACU bundle.

MCC entered at third and was the 7th biggest launch of any publisher, on just one title.

UK sales overall must have been monstrous this week...

Its only the 7th biggest launch on Xbox One, not overall.

Still that is very good for an HD collection.

Enlighten us then, what is happening?

Its obvious.  Its selling more software than it was.

This may also mean a redution in the weekly sales gap in hardware.  I'd say thats a certainty actually given recent ratios on big titles.

What do you think it means?

It means that they released a couple exclusives in the last few weeks, including the biggest one this week. Also 1 of the 9 top 40 titles is AC:Black Flag and we know why that is there.

Also look at the yearly bestseller list according to vgchartz, 3 X1 games in the top 10 and 8 in the top 40, versus 4 top 10 and 10 top 40 titles for the PS4, not really that much of a difference.

Hardware gap should be smaller this week due to the given circumstances but that doesn't necessarily tell us anything about the holidays as a whole, Sony is trying a lot harder to keep their price competitive with the X1s in the UK than they are in the US.
