I dont need to wait on an article to tell me anything about PS4 and Xbox One when I own both systems.

You don't need to wait on a article to comment on them???

We all know you preffer Xboxes than PSs, so if an article is more favourable to X1 than to PS4 you will probably agree because it aligns with your opinion, which is fine. X1 makes you happier.

I preffer which ever system provides the best games and right now its Xbox One. If it was not for my son playing Destiny on PS4 the system would not even be getting turned on at all. I have said before that I think PS4 is the best gaming console ever made but honetly I would feel sad if that was the only system I owned.

I understand that and have no problem with it.

The reason I said We know you would agree with the OP is because you already voiced your opinion on this regard before. But seeing X1 first year isn't much different what would you say to the article if it was similar in the conclusion that X1 costumers hadn't a good year?? I would disagree with both articles.

People are always going have different opinions. The only thing I am always going to say is how I feel about the subject. Good article that was spot on imo.

For me the article was reasonable up to the last 2 paragraphs, the year wasn't bad for PS4 customers, as you aint a customer (but your kid is) then it is not much about you, right?

Not trying to bash the X1 here, but this is bad journalism. The PS4 has more exclusive retail games than the X1 (not even counting indies) released in 2014, with two major 1st party releases hitting in Feb and Mar (while X1 has nothing).

Then there is the WiiU (just bought one myself). Lots of exclusive titles, but none of the third party games from PS4 and X1, so it can fall short of being someone's go to console (baring personal taste of course).

That said it should be no suprise that it is selling the way it is, especially when history is taken into consideration. Im really getting tired of seeing this tired argument and only damages the credibility of these foolish articles.

Just my two cents.

Well, opinions are one thing, but I know that I am very satisfied with my purchase. Best money spent on electronics in my life.
Just made a list in another thread, and realized that I've played 21 PS4 games since launch, with 4 more to come this Tuesday. And almost all of them I've enjoyed a lot.

If 25 good games is not enough in a year, and in a first year especially, I think the problem doesn't lie with games or with Sony, but in a very limited taste of a particular gamer...

I have purchased a PS4, 400€, with an expectation to use it for the next 8 years - 50€ per year. Don't see why I should be dissatisfied if one year is subpar (and it is not)...I am already trying to make a schedule of free time to play all these Nov.18 games and some 10-15 games already announced for 2015.

It hasn't been an overwhelming year, but decent

I'm not that unhappy with the purchase of my PS4, next year is going to be good. The Order, Final Fantasy, Persona 5 and Uncharted (and probably more).

why the ps4 is doing well, no one cares that much for exclsuives
you can count on a hand the exlsuives that sony have that really move consoles
lbp sells extremely well but is mostly a legs game , gran turismo , god of war , uncharted and ?? and xbox is just gears and halo
where as 3rd party we have final fantasy , metal gear, cod , gta , battlefield , battlefront , tekken , fifa , pes , and way way more

Thing I never get about talk like this is that they act like exclusives are the only reasons consoles sell. Exclusives are a bonus, unless of course the exclusive in question is a major killer app.

Having the best running version of a game running on consoles (current/last gen) is enough for people to buy into a console. Knowing that games will come is also enough. And never has there been a generation where sony has not delivered heavily with exclusive new IPs. Why should anyone suddenly doubt that they will this gen.

And lets not forget that its the first year. I will like to see what people will say next year. the way I see it, if the PS4 could sell so well without any notable games (maybe just one). Then it shows that its the preferred console for multiplatform games Cause a multiplat is an exclusive to someone that owns only one console (people keep forgetting this). I can only imagine the kinda year it will have next year.

And so we find PS4 facing Christmas with one of the weakest exclusive line-ups on record, and a third-party slate that's not much better. PS4's best games, from Shadow of Mordor to Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, can almost without exception be played on PS3. True new-generation games like Batman: Arkham City and The Witcher 3 have retreated into 2015 - and a good thing too, if the shambles that is the one exception, Assassin's Creed Unity, is anything to go by. The rest are remasters. Once again: why have we bought these machines?

Even allowing for DriveClub, and PSN's ups and downs (mostly downs), and those damned rubber sticks, Sony has had a great year. PlayStation 4 has had a great year. But PlayStation 4 owners haven't, not really. We've done our part: bought the machines in good faith and persuaded ourselves that those extra frames per second, those extra lines of resolution, are really worth it. It's getting hard to keep that up. The PS4 must be the most successful console without a killer app there's ever been, but its momentum can't last forever, its feelgood factor has worn off, and its opponent has got its act together. Sony - and all your partners - it's over to you.

Yeah... after arguing about the "damned rubber sticks" you can tell this is a really unbiased gamer.  Funny how my DS4 sticks still look like new.

Sorry PS4 owners. Eurogamer says you haven't had a good year

Yeah, i can get what you are saying, this make me sad... but then i start toremember that Sony is Miles better than Microsoft in the long run, Because Sony have a Superior number of first party studios and a amazing influence over Japanese Developers that are going to make lot's of PS4 exclusives, like Disgaea, Yakuza, Ni No Kuni, White Knight chonicles, Valkyria chronicles...

So, i hope you will not fall short of exclusives in this gen whit X1, because i'm sure Sony is going to give me lot's of things in the long run...

some facts for you:

Why do you jump to the conclusion that celador is an Xbox fan? You might want to check some facts before that...

Some people just see one post and assume preference...

Last week or two he and you have been quite positive about Xbox, but I would say you were talking about the merits it is having this last 3 weeks...

I remember celador being quite more pro PS4 and you too (but I could be mistaken).

This is what happens when you pretend third party games don't exist and that playing a game on a PS3 as opposed to a PS4 is "essentially the same experience". Imagine this logic being applied to PC games. Yes, in regards to exclusives I do agree that Microsoft is doing a much better job than Sony but as the Tomb Raider fiasco showed 3rd party games are just as if not more relevant.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine
