Sorry PS4 owners. Eurogamer says you haven't had a good year

2014 has definitely been subpar compared to what 2015 is shaping up to be imo.. But as it is for every console's first year this is completely natural.

I bought mine in September and have three games for it, so my time with it has been good

Happy birthday, PS4!

We had a good year together, but I have to admit that I had many other dates in that year with PC, Wii U, 3DS, iPad, your mother (PS3) and your little sister (Vita).

Another gamer that is on his first release window that they allow to be editor? I think it's trying to clickbait.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

We need a "like" button for posts like this one :)

"Who needs games?" Uuuummm... I own 15 games for my PS4, of which 8 are retail, I play most of them, and there's a shitton of games out now I still have yet to play. Yeah, it's been a dry year, but that's the case for both 8th gen consoles. I mean, hello? It's the first year. Why the hell would you expect the first year to contain the heaviest hitters? Overall, I've had a good year with my PS4, but if Eurogamer wants to decide my opinion for me, whatever.

0331 Happiness is a belt-fed weapon

I think they make the mistake of making out that 1st party games are the only kind that matter and making out that the console is a short term investment.

As long you got games to play currently and that they feel better on PS4 versus your other console I think thats decent enough for a first year. Disappointing that their aren't more cutting edge experiences but they're on their way, no doubt about it.

Its a tad sad though, despite outselling it 2:1 I'd much rather have a X1 at the moment then a PS4. Although PS4 is still going to be my first pic because I reckon it'll be a better longterm investment.

Pretty much why I see no reason for me to buy one.

No regrets...
