I don't think it was a good year to any console.

Well, actually, I don't think the article is half wrong. PS4 has had good games, yes, but so have X1 and PC - and it's mostly even the same games. PS4's exclusive line up has sucked this year, and I don't think anyone can argue that. But, that being said, I'm pretty sure it'll get some kick ass games in the years to come, and just because a game isn't exclusive doesn't mean it's bad or is a bad value.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

This guy's an idiot and looks like one too. But this is much like any game review and is based on his own opinion since he doesn't know the minds of other gamers and why they purchased their consoles. Just cause he doesn't see it doesn't mean others are just like him.

This just goes to show how ready for next generation consoles gamers truly were and that last gen lasted too long.

PS4 success without software is baffling but early success is because they clearly have the superior console hardware. 2015 is already set to be PS4 software coming out party.

I wasn't ready at all :P I have a library of games I have yet to complete across the PS3/360/Wii but being the gamer that I am I broke down and got a Wii U and Xbox One 3 months within each other. A PS4 in the near future as well. I keep telling myself that it's okay I'm behind since I have my whole life to catch up.

If the last gen lasted another year, I feel like we would have had even better launches for the Xbox One and PS4. It was very obvious that a lot of the games weren't ready in time but I guess we can't really complain. We did get a pretty decent year considering all the delays and crap.

I kind of ignore the last year of PS3 and Xbox 360(never own a PS3) and jump to Wii U. Now I got WiiU and Xbox One and have to many games to play again.

Bought and never played skyward sword on my pile of shame.   But, Last gen was way to long, there simply not enough innovation to bring forth a new gen console. Even comparing graphic now this generation leap is most meaningless. This generation really shows that games are more then simply graphics. Ask any one how good destiny is on Xbox 360 and PS3. There experience and fun factor is probably equal or very similar to PS4 and Xbox One owner.

Its pretty much the truth, the only reason why I don't regret my PS4 is because of its more powerful hardware and I'm a sucker for pretty graphics and I don't have the money to keep up with a PC.
While the WiiU is running like fire delivering amazing games and the XBone delivering a better lineup of games in my opinion than the PS4. The PS4 delivers better quality 3rd party games overall.

Take a lesson from history. Sony always starts off slow but always ends up finishing strong.

If having 64 games more than your closest rival is 'starting off slow' then I'll take that.

well Sony already have 10 exclusives lined up for PS4 ready for next year. with an PS Event. The Game Awards and E3 2015 to announce new exclusives that can come out next year. so yeah, this is sony starting slow, but next year they are gonna crush it.

Genuine question here, but apart from bloodborne, the order and possibly uncharted 4 what else have they announced?

Neither the PS4 or the Xbox One had a good year. The PS4 had a better year, but it still sucked.

Both were arguably average but the X1 seemed to be a bit better on the exclusive front imo.

Actually both were pretty good considering its their first year.  Plnety good games big and small to be played.

Fair enough hadn't even heard of half of those. Probably skip rachet and tearaway (depending on how much is changed) though as ive already played both. guess ill have to look into the rest.

well not much people own a vita and tearaway is a fantastic game, and 50% of the game is new content made for the PS4 version. as someone who was considering buying a vita for tearaway, i can say that this is one of my most anticipated titles for PS4.

the games are different types with different budgets and ambition, and i personally see nothing wrong with that.
