Even though i only have 1 console from this gen with just 2 games (3DS+NSMB2 & MK7) i can say it's been very great so far :P

The Iphone app is 400 MB and the Android App is 500Mb. That's just crazy man. And there's the "join our website" chests.

Within a year, we got Battlefeild 4, Sonic Boom and AC: Unity. And that's just the worst of them, but barely the tip of the iceberg.

Thankfully the PS4 launched in 2013, because if they launched in 2012 MS would've risked another broken console to get arrive to market around the same time as Sony. MS reaction to Sony's reveal of the PS4 was priceless.

Unusually chipper toasty, and I must say the points you made are all true.
Especially with reviewers putting game devs in their place.
BUT overall I feel this gen has been underwhelming in game quality. Hopefully that changes soon.
