Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Titanfall Should Stay Xbox One Console Exclusive

I'd be down. I actually like exclusives in video games.

I think Microsoft should seal the deal with Titanfall. In everyones' eyes the franchise is tied to Xbox One. Titanfall is one of those franchises that just feels right next to Halo, Gears, Call of Duty. I would love it if Microsoft announces Titanfall 2 next year with better graphics, single player, co-op, increased player count, and horde mode. Beta next Christmas. Who's with me?? Microsoft is known for having franchises that sell 5 million + with every installment, this can be one of them.

What matters is that they invest more time and money into development. Maybe a more comprehensive singleplayer next time around.

If it's achieve with a microsoft exclusivity deal or by going multiplaform .... in the end Xbox One owners only win if they get more content. Who cares if Titanfall goes to PS4 just make the game better.

If Microsoft play their cards right this game could be the big Holiday 2016 Xbox One game. Have a Titanfall game between every Halo years.

This.  Put the fanboyism aside and just hope for better games that more people can play.

No! Why?
Titanfall could become a great great, if they do it right.
Why should not everyone enjoy it?

They can go for exclusive marketing and content

If I am not mistaken, I think you posted in a previous thread that you actually dont even own Titanfall.  So why would you be excited about TItanfall 2 so much?

As a mainly Playstation gamer, I'd say MS should keep Titanfall. I miss the days of third party exclusives where it defined a console. Last gen the PS3/360 were almost identical in that department. Of course some of the devs needed to make more sales so they chose to be multiplat rather than stay exclusive.

Well I think TF should stay on XB camp. MS made the game possible but Sony wanted it to be a PSP game and the franchise has a nice community on X1 already while PS4 fans could only laugh at the game for multiple reasons. Graphics, lack of single player, framerate, resolution, only 6vs6 and countless of them said they didn't need it. Right now I think MS should realy consider the possibility.

That said, I hope when/if the second game is released on PS4, the Sony fans will be more appreciative of what TF is. It's a real treat.

With the amount of money Microsoft would spend keeping it exclusive they could probably fund 5 of their own games. No, let it go multiplatform. It's too popular to stay exclusive.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

The only reason MS should make the rest of the series exclusive is if they were able to acquire publishing rights from EA. It was a good investment at the time, but from a business point of view, I don't see why MS should keep the game, especially when Halo is about to pick up speed and Halo 5 is likely to release next year. Not to mention MS is getting set for a new Gears of War game. I think they're set in the shooter department, but I wouldn't be against MS acquiring the rights either. Although I don't see Respawn giving their baby up.

I have a feeling EA and Sony aren't at the best of terms at the moment, it seems they are betting more on X1. I too hope it stay Xbox exclusive, it just feels "Xboxey" to me :).

Microsofts shooter image was paid for. It could just as easily be gained by anyone else. If Sony fans demand and Sony gives then EA said they'll give Sony Titanfall.

The great reason for the divide with Sony is because Sony did not take sides in the DRM war with MS. MS chose EA and Sony chose to stay between EA and the consumer.

Best game of this generation so far imho and its not even close. But everyone should have a chance to experience it.

And it can't "stay" console exclusive if it never was console exclusive.
