It's ok if it's not your thing but don't act like the game was free of unnecessary criticism.

I guess I missed it.  It got an 86 on metacritic.  What criticism are you talking about?

It got an 86 and it deserved it. The criticism wasn't deserved though. You can use the search and look for titanfall threads if you want. I'm not digging on those old threads. Eventhough the port beg was intense the game was laughed at for it's resolution, for being only 6vs6, because it uses the cloud for AI, because the graphics weren't on par with games like Killzone, because it had framerate dips and so on. I understand it released when X1 was ridiculed like no other, but still the game is good. Hope TF2 improves from the first game and if it comes to PS then it's a good thing. I just can't digest the constant hate it suffered from.

Team Fortess 2 is already out! (TF2)

But in all seriousness those are all legitimate gripes.  Instead of properly having 16-32 players they had the most annoying AI on Earth (Grunts) and yet the maps always felt empty as hell.  Oh and yeah, its graphics were absolute crap compared not just to killzone, but even COD.  It had subpar graphics and yet couldn't run in 1080p.  86 is a great meta, and just because you think it is the second coming of christ doesn't mean the criticism wasn't deserved.  If you market your game as the next revolution in online MP you better not be exagerating because the internet is harsh.

You know my favorite online shooter is Battlefield 4.  Right now it has an 85 on Metacritic and it gets a TON of hate.  At least on PC, it has worked since the first week it came out, but the hate it gets isn't completily unjustified.  Games should ALWAYS work well when they come out, its campaign sucked, and in many ways it is just a massive upgrade of BF3 moreso than a total overhaul of the series (Like the number 4 would suggest).  But I am not gonna have a huge chip on my shoulder just because a lot of people give it critiscm that while exagerated, is deserved.  The only difference is millions still play BF4 whereas Titanfall's numbers fell through almost overnight.

The fact that you mentioned call of duty as an exclusive makes your entire argument sound even worse than it already is.

Saying the maps were empty and that it needed to be 16 or 32 players tells me you didn't get much time with the game so you don't know much about it. I never really got into KZ or Battlefield and imo all they got for themselves are the graphics but I favor gameplay. You like these game's gameplay? Great for you I'm not going to criticize them because they're not what I'd like them to be. Not every games has to be the same. Would KZ MP not having this weird resolution trick make it a better game? At least not in my book. Not being the top dog in graphics has never prevented me from enjoying a game so it didn't matter to me for TF and also to a lot of people. It did matter to those who needed to dismiss it though. It's ok, you don't like it no biggie. If people could only come and say, well I played this games and I didn't like it. But no they have to do their best to make sure everyone know how bad every aspect of the game is... imo, that has nothing to do with deserved criticism.

Dude I played for a few hours and got bored.  I played it more than enough to know plenty about it.  You say "It's ok that some people don't like some games" now, but before you were basically saying that most of the people who said bad things about Titanfall were wrong.  Which one is it?

I'm not going to get into an argument about whether or not BF has unique gameplay because that would go on forever.  But I will say that writing off the graphics as unimportant is just flat out incorrect.  Seeing the insane particle affects, dynamic lighting, and incredible detail of a helicopter crashing in front of you does add a ton to the atmosphere and immersion of Battlefield's combat that no other game can replicate.

Yeah....you definitely misunderstood it....twice.

I never made anything seem as if Sony wanted it. I placed the blame on them for not getting Titanfall and stated EA said if the fans demand it Sony will most likely follow through. This is pointless and I'm finished. Don't bother responding. Seriously, I know where I am coming from and I tried twice to get you to understand that I'm not disagreeing with you. If you feel like continuing on its all for nothing.

You're saying it's Sony's fault the game never came to PS4. You're wrong. Allow me to plug The Final Hours of Titanfall, it's a great read. And would prevent you from making mistakes like this about Titanfall in the future.

There's not much of anything Sony could have done to bring Titanfall to PS4. Of course the sequel will come, why wouldn't it? Even a no brainer like that, you're making it out to seem like Sony is being so charitable "giving the fans what they want". It's just a 3rd party release.

Maybe you are confusing Titanfall with Sunset Overdrive. There is a quality 3rd party game that Sony definitely could have done more to secure.

No. Sony was offered Titanfall on the PS4 and refused because they wanted it to be on the Vita. They lost their chance. This isn't the first time this gen Sony has turned down something from EA and Microsoft got exclusivity to it. Because Sony co-develops with third party all the time they even stated they would help co- develop Titanfall in tandem with Respawn for the Vita.

Neither Sunset Overdrive nor Titanfall were initially to be exclusive to the Xbox. Sony dropped the ball on both. They were offered and Sony wanted things done their way and missed out. If Sunset Overdrive was published by Sony it would never have seen the light of day on the Xbox One. Its just like the KInect...if Sony would've used it MS would never have had a petipheral to save them from Sony's advances in 2010 when they launched it.

lol, you're not even reading your own link. Sony did not "refuse" Titanfall on PS4. They refused to spill any specs to Respawn and suggested a Vita version. But Respawn still pushed forward planning a PS3 and PS4 version. The PS3 is why Titanfall uses the engine it does.

So the game was still set to come to PS3 and PS4, until Respawn needed financial help and EA/MS struck a deal. So no, it wasn't up to Sony. It wasn't coming regardless.

Again, read the piece I suggested and the one thats mentioned throughout your link. It will help you to not be wrong on this in the future.

I'm not wrong....this quote is wrong. I misworded things perhaps but in essence not wrong. This is a waste of time.

The reason I said some people were wrong was because a lot of criticism came from people that just wanted to take a jab at anything MS, not because they played the game and didn't like it. Also the constant hate came from before the beta even released but anyway I thought you would understand. My bad. I'm not going to talk more about BF because it's not my kind of game and who am I to sayd whether it's good or not. I rather focus on what I like.

I like graphics as much as anyone but I don't let "not top of the line" graphics blind me from the rest. Games with stellar graphics won't get any praise from me until the gameplay is as great. It's a good thing there are different mindsets.

Nothing wrong with my quote at all. You seem to believe that because Respawn approached Sony looking for info on PS4 and Sony instead asked them to put a prototype of another game on Vita, that it means Sony was offered Titanfall and denied it. That's wrong. You said if Sony wanted Titanfall on PS4 it would be there, thats wrong.

You're directly implying TF on PS4 was a Sony decision and they said no thanks. That's wrong. You are right about it being a waste of time though. If you aren't going to listen to logic and reason then yeah, its a waste of time.
