Forums - Politics Discussion - ‘White Widow’ terrorist shot dead in Ukraine

The ‘White Widow’, a British female terrorist suspect who allegedly fought alongside ISIS terrorists in Syria and was sought internationally has reportedly been shot dead in Ukraine. The news was reported by Russia’s Regnum news agency.

Samantha Lewthwaite, 30, was allegedly gunned down two weeks ago. However, no independent confirmation was available.

Lewthwaite recently fought alongside one of Kiev’s most infamous squads – the Aidar battalion, which was condemned by Amnesty International for its unmatched cruelty in eastern Ukraine.

It was said to be “involved in widespread abuses, including abductions, unlawful detention, ill-treatment, theft, extortion, and possible executions.”

She was reportedly a sniper for the group. Her killer was also a sniper - allegedly one who travelled from Russia to fight near Lugansk.

The White Widow was deemed one of Britain’s and the world’s most wanted terrorists.

Some my remarks - she was fighting on the side of Poroshenko troops, supported by NATO/West. But in the same time she was wanted ISIS terrorist... All this sounds so fishy...

Does sound very fishy. Why would a muslim extremist have anything to do with Ukraine?

Especially when she was supposed to be training new terrorists in Syria in September/October http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/white-widow-samantha-lewthwaite-trains-4337265

Maybe because people who support Poroshenko in Ukraine and ISIS in Iraq/Al quaeda/Taliban in Afganistan are the same people?

If that's the case, who are those people and why are they supporting two very disctinct groups?

I know It's slightly off-topic, but reading this reminded me of a quite similar case a few weeks ago.

I'm talking about media that pretty kurdish woman called/nicknamed "Rehana" who was allegedly fighting against ISIS:

A few weeks ago, hundreds of media reports about her suddenly appeared, claiming that she had killed over 100 ISIS fighters, with all media reports apparently using this one particular photo seen above. The rather ridiculous part about her allegedly having killed "over 100 ISIS fighters" alone suggests that the reports about her were mostly propaganda, trying to present her as a kind of superheroine, for others to identify with, as a role model fighting the enemy. (quite similar to the "Captain America" when he was invented in the 1940s)

Then, just a few days later, ISIS stroke back and claimed that they had beheaded this "Rehana", posting a picture that allegedly shows her decaptivated head.

From an anti-ISIS propaganda point of view, this would have been the absolute worst case scenario. So shortly after the reports about her beheading, counterstatements were being released, claiming that this is a lie, that the shown head wasn't Rehanas, and that Rehana was in fact very well alive and was currently located in turkey.

But that response was strange. If really nothing had happened to her, the best and most simple way to prove ISIS wrong would have been to simply shoot a short video in which Rehana herself is seen alive and in good shape, stating that the beheading claims are bullshit.

But as far as I know, that didn't happen, and no proof of her still being alive has been published ever since, indicating that there's something fishy about the reports that she is fine.

Or did I miss anything, did anyone hear any other news about her recently?
