Assassin's Creed! Will It Heavily Decline? (not talking like it Flopped, just underperformed)

BTW im more talking from AC4, and i even added the split below...

VGC's #s (Only MS+Sony systems) Note that this doesn't include digital, which obviously AC3 and newer release would of had...

★ 10.18mil Assassin's Creed

★ 10.53mil Assassin's Creed 2

★   8.21mil Assassin's Creed Revelations

★ 11.00mil Assassin's Creed 3

★   9.20mil Assassin's Creed 4   (2.80mil PS4/X1) (6.40mil PS3/X360)

★   ?.??mil Assassin's Creed Unity

★    ?.??mil Assassin's Creed Rogue

How much will both sell? I think Unity will have a huge start, but then decline and have no legs. But it will beat out AC4. 3mil but Rogue unfortunately will be where the decline is, maybe around 2mil sold putting 2 new games together around half of the last one (5mil)

 Your thoughts?

Let's hope so. It's a garbage series.

Unity will definitely go down from AC4. Probably under 9m lifetime. The decline will only continue until Ubisoft manages to create another game with the quality of AC2.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

It all depends if they release a great game or if they only put out thurds, just like any other franchise...

Let's take two recent example: Grears of War Originas and God of War Ascension... both showed declined sales for their respective franchise, honestly I think they were both low point for their own reasons... so whatever comes out next in their line up will decide if their respective franchise is succesful or no!

Same went for CoD Ghost, it was not very good, did not sell as much as previous CoDs... it seems the new one is doing better, because it's a better game, it does not matter if it has CoD in the title, not for everyone at least.

That works for every franchise it can be in games or cinema, or anything really... there is a core of followers, they will keep on buying the installments a few times even if the new titles are bad, probably out of abit... then if a few more good or great titles come out they sell a lot with the name recognition + good impression, because more casual admirers want in on the action when it's good! or if nothing is made they fade into oblivision (when was the last great Mega Man title released?)

I disagree I love the series. What I do hate is the constant releases of the game making it harder to keep track of the story. I also hate that they released rogue on last gen only effectivly cutting me off from the game. I personally have no interest in continue to play these games they left me in the dust and now I will continue to do the same to them.

I was just about to say yeah obviously, duh.... but then i realize your talking about Just AC4 ps4/x1 sales. How much do you think it'll both sell now? (unity+rogue)

I personally love the series and have enjoyed every Assassin's Creed game, until yesterday, Unity is nearly unplayable on Ps4 at times, it has the worst Frame-Rate i've ever experienced in a console game and the glitches are so bad that it feels like an Alpha version of the game, i don't usually complain about games but this is unacceptable, i hope they patch it. I regret buying this game day one.

I hope it sells horribly so ubisoft takes a step back and gets back to making quality products, they have really gone downhill in the last year or two.

Oh yeah, forgot that Unity wasn't on last gen consoles. I guess Unity+Rogue might do better than AC4 on all consoles simply because they're two different games and people are more likely to buy both. I guess 10m lifetime between both games.

I'll buy Black Flag 2 when it comes out, since i absolutely loved the first one. Other than that, i really haven't enjoyed an AC game in a while

It already was, in my opinion.

By having removed the original creator and the semblance of an overarching story, they have effectively lost any conductive thread the series had. Its only the same game over and over in a different setting. Black flag spurted the downfall a bit because it looked to be different (more of a pirate game than assassins creed), but i am expecting the series to dramatically decline with this release.
This is what happens when you milk the cow too much. Call of Duty will eventually follow suit.
