Ubisoft’s stock got crushed over 9% today in Europe after an abysmal new game launch of its most important franchise Assassin’s Creed. Not only are the reviews coming in poor with a current Metacritic score of 76 on the Xbox One version, which is only 1 point higher than the critically panned Activision’s Destiny, the game’s bugs and poor performance is becoming a laughing-stock right now on the Internet. There are thousands of posts flooding message boards and Youtube showing graphical glitches, crashes, and frame-rate problems.

Assassin’s Creed Unity is reminding gamers of EA’s Battlefield 4 launch problems last year, which was so bad the developers of the next Battlefield game had to literally promise their game “will work”when it comes out. 

Ubisoft would have been better off to delay Unity like Take-Two does frequently with their Grand Theft Auto games than to release it in this state. The market has noticed the poor response today and punished the company for it.

oh damn, 76 aint bad, just avg but im guessing those bugs/glitches/etc is where the center of attention is at!!!

I was going to buy it yesterday, I am glad I waited.

Yeah 76% isn't bad. Average would be 50%. So Assassin's Creed would be considered above average. Though the gaming market is pretty harsh.

From the reviews I have watched, I'm suprised it has a 76.

The story seems to be trash compared to the last gen AC Rogue. And with the high graphical problems I'm surprised it doesn't have a 60.

Unity is in the the post and I'll be buying Rouge the day it comes to PS4, but I think it is time for a year off before they ruin the golden goose. The real problem is alternating it with Far Cry would have been the best option, but now I fear we'll be getting a rushed Watch Dogs 2 instead

They deserve every bit of this

The PS4 version of Unity actually has 81 on metacritic.

It'll go up again once sales figures are released.

UbiSoft has really made themselves look bad in regards to Assassin's Creed: Unity. It's deserved. They didn't even bug test the game. At least EA caught the issues with Dragon's Age: Inquisition early on PS4 before release.
