Yeah.. Reggie is just the head of NoA.. Honestly though, I wouldn't be surprised if Smash WiiU pre-orders would be higher worldwide than MK8!

i would for the single fact that historically MK8 has been bigger. But maybe releasing this time of the year has helped cus the hype for this seems a lot lower than MK8 plus the 3DS got its version. 

My understanding is that SSB is more popular with the hard core and MK more popular with casuals. So for any given generation which of those 2 sell the most is dependant on install base. Wii U is looking to be the hard core nintendo fan console sony expect SSB to win, much like it won on GC. Whereas Wii was packed with casuals so MK Wii was the highest seller.

Damn those are some amazing legs, definitely up there with MK/SSB/GTA of last gen. Over 10-20x sold lifetime than week 1!

Indeed. I expect the same with LBP3. Maybe 300-400k WW FW but 3m+ sold lifetime, assuming it's at least a very good game like the other 2

I don't think first week will be that high, the families haven't started to buy in to this gen, I don't think, so I'm thinking sub 300k opening for LBP3, unless the bundle does really well, which it might. 

Come on, it's PS4. Even games like Alien and The Evil Within got 300k+ first weeks! LBP is pretty popular worldwide (maybe not in Japan) so decent sales everywhere will guarantee 300k+ WW.

Well as we're in the pre-orders thread it would seem the US pre-orders would disagree with 3-400K being the likely FW. IMO USA 100K rest of world 100-150K, if we go by current US pre-orders.

Games like LBP don't get many pre-orders compared to sales. I'm going to say ~130k sold in the US, 150k in Europe and ~80k ROW
