Smeags has just stopped listin um, it was just giving idiots attention really. If you've noticed comments around the place with "alt removed" edited in their place now too and a banned poster tis the mods just removing all their hit and run new accounts comments so they are wasting their own time and not leaving anything on the site.

Yeah tis no bothers, the main reason there is a noted difference between the two here is because all moderations tend to get a longer punishment if they are for the same thing, so if someone is hot headed and flames another user they might get 1 day off, then 3 > 5 and so on, but if that same user at some point steps over the line where they accidentally/deliberatly troll a console then they'll be looking at a 1 day ban for it rather than adding to their history for flaming users

Can see how that breaks down on the list with someone like Prinz_Valium has a 1 and a 5 day ban for spamming but then 2 x 3 day bans for both flaming and trolling so can see that they're seperate offences normally which grow their own seperate punishments (unless it's something completely over the top that the user does or it's a very new account, in which case it's just presumed the person wont really simmer down enough to fit in here or potentially an alt of someone with a permaban)

I'm sure this has been asked several hundred times, but I'm kind of new to forums as a whole so bear with me, but why exactly do people make several alt accounts? I mean I get wanting to participate if you have a banned account, but if the alts just get taken down and your ban length increased anyway, then what's the point other than being an asshole? And if it really is just being an asshole, then I pity you guys having to search through that shit.
