Forums - Politics Discussion - Why Isaiah 29:12 Is Not A Prophecy of Muhammad

I know I just got back from a ban, and got warned for making threads like this, but I am not breaking any guidelines/rules on this one. I'm doing this thread in the first place, because I hear this ridiculous claim over and over again that supposedly proves Sura 7:157 (Plus, why not put it on this forum?)

  • You always have the right to express your opinion, as long as it is relevant to the thread topic, and you do so in a civil manner, justifying what you say. If you want to discuss something other than the thread topic, make your own thread.

Anyways, Isaiah 29:12 says "And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned"
Sounds like Muhammad, right? Person not leaned, book delievered to them: It sounds just like the story of how the Angel appeared to Muhammad! Well, it does, but it is not a prophecy of Muhammad. The verse is taken right out of its context. Here's verses 10-14:
"For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered. And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book (It's an example: AS the words of a book) that is sealed, which men deliver (Note: The story in Islam is that an Angel appeared to Muhammad. In this, men delivered the book) to one that is learned (Men are showing the book to people who can read, and people who can't read/multiple people, not just one guy who cannot read), saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned. Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men (Even IF this was Muhammad, this part would condemn him) : Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid."
You asked for it, now you get it,

I addressed that in the start of my post.

To be fair, I said should as opposed to does.

I accept the fact that many people currently do care about what the prophecy and Muhammad have to say.

Me!

Who cares what you think of muslims? We're on a site where people could spin anything to suit their argument, thus your OP means nothing. You got banned for a reason, keep this out of here. We're here to discuss video games. Topics like this invites haters/racist and those who know nothing to post whatever they want which is why no good discussion could be had.

Good to have you back.
