Forums - Gaming Discussion - Will Call of Duty AW be reviewed like Driveclub was?

What are you saying? The situation between the two games is very different, Drive Club was unplayable, while in Advance Warfare there are only the usual lag issues that COD has always had the first days. I play on Xbox One.

shikamaru317 ps4 apparently but it also occurs on xbox one . everyoens ping at some of the matches were all read and everyoen was teleporting.

With DC no one coul dget on for ages plus the ps plus edition si stil lnot out and won't be till sometime next year at least after january next year , which was promised to be release on launch day . Its different to COD issues. The game is for me the best COD since MW2.

What does the bolded have to do with the reviews?

The OP is right. The problems with COD:AW are not as big as with Drive Club, but they exist, so reviewers should deduct points or update their reviews to reflect that.

not having the free edition , sinc eit was promised to be available at launch and having to wait that long for it , is one of the reason for teh decrease scores , whreas everyone on COD can play the game

You're still not making any sense. The reviewers review Drive Club the game, not the ps+ version of it. The ps+ version is completely irrelevant unless the review is about the ps+ version which to my knowledge no one bothered  reviewing. You'd have a point if there was a ps+ version of COD that everyone can play and a normal one.

I disagree. Reviewers are telling you their experience with the game.

A game going to crap post review doesn't reflect the experience the reviewer had.

Ok, so let me ask a very simple question. Why do we read reviews in the first place? Isn't it to get an idea of whether we will like a certain game or not? How does a review that differs vastly from the product at its current state help one decide if a game is worth his money and time?

And the problem here is consistency. Either update all your reviews (content and scores) when they give a false impression to the reader about certain aspects of a game or don't update any of them.

I haven't noticed any issues with AW.

Driveclub is so broken they haven't released the PS+ version. So not the same thing.

Also, Driveclub's critical reception has more to do with the gameplay, not the online features. Online features were working fine during reviews.

Yeah, its not like Driveclub was a critical masterpiece and then the reviews changed. lol

AW is far from a masterpiece either. yet it doesn't get market down for any of the same reasons driveclub would. lack of content? The campaign is 5 fucking hours long!!

I didn't read many DriveCLub reviews but those I read didn't complain about server issues or something but about the game itself and how boring it is.

And even if there are some or many who complain about some issues DriveClub has online, I think those seem to be also much bigger as they seem to be with CoD where most still can play without many problems?

On XO, Lag is a big issue, more so than any other COD game.

But spawn killing and glitches so far seem to be minimal, nowhere near as bad as WM2.

And driveclubs issues became more apparent as the weeks went on. Driveclub got poor reviews for its lack of contect and whatever content it has was bland. If reviewers accounted for the online issues, it would be sitting around 50/60 on meta right now...

Apples and oranges.

CoD's campaign is like a 5/6 hour action movie. People tend to spend a majority of the time with multiplayer modes.

Driveclub is... a standard racing game. Events, challenges, etc. No action movie campaign.

Its not their job to keep reviews up to date when the developer/publisher drops the ball. They simply tell you their experience with the game during the review. When critics were playing it the servers were working fine and reviews reflect that.

Also, you have to consider many critics were disappointed with the gameplay whether it be online or offline.
