Forums - Gaming Discussion - I picked up an Atari, NES, Super NES. What do you think?

Got All of this for $320 locally. What do you think? Good deal?

Looks good to me, especially those NES game cases! :O

Did you get H.E.R.O for the Atari? You will have some great times with it! :)

I am a collector with a massive collection. That being said, I think those consoles probably should have fetched around $50 each. I cannot see ALL of the titles, but I would put most Atari 2600 games at about $2 each, NES games atabout $5-10 each, and most SNES games at $5-$20 each. If you got a rare collectible like Chrono Trigger or Earthbound, those can go for hundreds of dollars each. Do the math.

We ALL wanted it, now we ALL are finally going to get SHENMUE III !!! Let us REJOICE IN THE STREETS!!!

Anything before the N.E.S classics (Zelda, Metroid, the Super Mario games, Kid Icarus, Mega Man, Castlevania, and many others) is just good for curiosity, I mean, the Atari 2600 does not have a single game I wish I could go to (back then I really liked River Raid + Enduro racing... but if you can play Guardian Legend on the NES you'll get a better shooter and f-zero on the SNES was the first really interesting racing game for a home system)...

Beyond this nice pickup!

I use http://videogames.pricecharting.com/ anytime I need an idea for how much a product is worth.

Also, does the Atari work? I found one at an estate sale once and they wanted $40 for it with some games and instruction books. I asked them to test it for me and it wouldn't turn on.

Hope you have an old crt tv to use them

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

You basically just bought yourself a miniature gaming museum.

I like it.

I used to love the Atari. Wish I could still play on one. I re acquired A nes last christmas but still yet to get a chance to properly play it. You've done well there dude.

Those aren't really Nes cases.... those are just the little black plastic holders for the carts.

NES should be in cardboard boxes like those on the right side, very hard to keep tho since obviously most people didn't think they'd be a collectors item one day.

That said if those are the only 2 SNES games you got I think you got sort of ripped off, altho the ATARI2600 power adaptor in the box could fetch a little bit from a nuts collector on Ebay if you get lucky.
