It's pretty terrible really. Why release a new model with better specs if you won't take advantage of the increased power?

It's a much smarter decision that making it N3DS exclusive.

I think you got a good point there. How can Nintendo ever think about catching up with the market leader when all they care about is backward compatability. That is so not nextnext gen.

Nice troll Rol made my day ;)!

Why would I be angry that I can play the game without buying new hardware?

Granted, I would have been irked if Majora were New 3DS. I probably would have held my nose and bought it, and Nintendo would have exhausted most of their good karma with me.

The very reason that Majoras Mask didn't sell well on the N64 was that it required the updated hardware to run, think they'd make the same mistake again with the same game?

Wut. I don't want it exclusively for NN3DS......

Then again, it has been in development before NN3DS got invented.

Brilliant.

I'm hoping they release a patch that makes it unplayable on older hardware.

Why not? After all, when Iwata announced The Wind Waker HD in a Nintendo Direct, he said that Nintendo was remaking this game specifically because the low installed base of the GameCube prevented it from reaching a larger audience. So that's why it is on the Wii U. The Wii U. Yes, that's right. The Wii U.

If you want to play the original wind waker on the console with a 100m player base you know what you can do? Pop the disk in and play it :o
