The manga ended on a high note when Naruto chose to symbolically defeat Sasuke by scratching his head band; instead of going for a killing blow like Sasuke did. This showed Naruto's innocence and Sasuke's fall from grace. After that Kishi fucked everything up by not advancing Naruto's character and turning the plot into DBZ.

The publisher Shounen Jump want to milking the franchise till no more left over Lol. Its not a surprise the series could have ended 2 years ago or 1 years ago.

and considering to much filler on the anime, thanks to the publisher who make the stories a bit of over pushed.
