Nintendo may have the most variety when it comes to controllers when compared to Playstation or Xbox who usually just tweak their previous one, for better or worse, for gameplay innovation Nintendo has more controllers then any other console maker i've seen(except maybe Sega).

N64 controller rocked. I still miss it today.

To me N64 controller was the second best, behind the father of the modern controllers:
Snes controller.

I wanted to discuss what controllers each person thought was the best in design and concept and possibly why they thought one failed in design abd consept.

More all of the flack it's gotten, I'm gonna go with the Wii U game pad. The thing does EVERYTHING. I have a Wii U pro controller and it feels fantastic but it doesn't get much use thanks to that Wii U standard. If only it had analog triggers, a better battery life, and stronger rumble.

Pretty much this.

However, for Smash I will probably use my Gamecube Controllers, since I'm now very much used to that one.
