Forums - PC Discussion - Ubisoft games appear in Origin instead of Steam

EA must be happy.

Ubisoft Games Hit Origin

7 Nov 2014 by Rob Clegg

Earlier today, we discussed that the latest Ubisoft games including Far Cry 4, The Crew and Assassin’s Creed: Unity had been pulled from Steam.

A rather interested Telkom Gaming user has pointed out to us that the Ubisoft games are now linked to Origin. A few minutes ago, the user pointed us to a post on Reddit/PCGaming that shows a list of the latest Ubisoft games which will be hitting Origin.

Check it out here.

Will the Ubisoft titles be pulled from Origin too or are they here to stay?

Are we going to be seeing the mighty EA and Ubisoft taking on Valve’s digital distribution platform Steam?

A match made in hell...

No EA.  Don't team up with Ubisoft.

Agreed.

Huh now this is interesting.

Wonder if the big publisher will end up in some sort of alliance to yield more power and distribute under one self controlled umbrella.

So that's why Ubisoft has been such idiots lately! They've been learning from the stupidest!

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531

Me!

So pointless service teams up with pointless service to combat Steam? Okay...

I would not be shocked if all the big money game companies do something to get away from steam. Steam is too customer/price friendly. They want a system that is publisher/price friendly.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

XD, ordering them all from retail anyway (crap internet)

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

Well they say PC gaming is dead... now i'm starting to believe em
