There have been signals out there that Sucker Punch is currently working on a new project, and a new career opportunity ad seeking a Narrative designer recently published by the developer serves at the clincher.

Daily tasks will include story development, game dialogue and general narrative contribution. The ideal candidate will have previous success as a game writer or screenwriter, outstanding communication skills, a good understanding of story and game structure, experience in a writers’ room setting, and an absolute passion to tell great stories in various cinematic mediums.

Even more interestingly, we learn that the game will be open world:

Considering that open world games are Sucker Punch’s bread and butter, it’s really not much of a surprise that they’re still betting on their winning horse for their new project.

Interestingly, they’re also continuing with the trend set by inFAMOUS: Second Son and stressing on diversity within the cast:

At the moment nothing else is know about the new game. It could be another stand-alone expansion like inFAMOUS: First Light, a completely new chapter of the inFAMOUS series, or something else entirely.

Sucker Punch will be present at PlayStation Experience, so we might hear something there.

Getting really excited about this Playstation experience. Want to keep my expectations in check though :)

Seeing as it should be focusing on early 2015 yeah its best you keep expectations in check. I mean I too hope to see some new stuff too but I feel it will mostly be advertising games we know about for Q1&2 2015.

My guess is first day buy. Unless it's an open world 3rd person shooter where you can't climb on things and use boring guns.

No way this will be at the PlayStation Experience event. Second Son released in March and First Light in August, this game is probably Q3/Q4 2016 or early 2017.

so they say the next main character won't be a generic dickhead?

I want another infamous, but more like first light. I liked fetch and she was a very developed character with a tragic story behind it. It was a personal story. I'm all up to that as long they have a deep story and a serious tone. I think Infamous will be better if it was an M rated game. They can touch many of the themes they tried to implement in the plot without being limited to the T rating.

I really liked Infamous: Second Son a lot, and its very fun to play, but there is certainly scope for improvement, like having more content in an open-world game like more side activities, a more lively city and a better story. The game is an 8.5/10, but if they add all these things it could be a 9.8/10. For a 10/10, it needs some other things as well
